Add Ons On the Dining Plan

I read somewhere that add ons (like carrots or fries) are allowed on the dining plann for no extra charge, Is this true?

You mean, in addition to what you are already getting? For example, say you are getting the cheeseburger meal at Pecos Bills. That already includes fries OR carrots, plus drink and dessert. If you wanted ANOTHER order of fries, you could use a snack credit for that, but not free.

We did this at Flame Tree- we got our rib meals, and then were going to pay out of pocket for the onion rings- the cashier said, "You can use a snack credit for those if you want." We said, "Heck ya!"

When the Dining Plan was first introduced, a lot of the "add-on" were provided free as a generous bonus, but they were never actually included in the plan. As time has gone on, that's been happening less and less FWIR, and indeed, many "add-ons" have actually been removed from restaurant menus perhaps to forestall such confusion.

Plan on paying extra for add-ons, and feel very lucky (and appreciative!) if they're comp'ed.

The "Fries and soft drinks available upon request" language doesn't infer that they are in addition to what you order, but rather, what you can request instead of the healthy options listed on the menu. It's an either/or not an and option.
