Add-ons at SSR

I know you can buy add-ons at the sold-out resorts for as little as 25 points, but what is the minimum at SSR? I am leaning toward buying another contract at BWV, but then I got to thinking about the 12 extra years...It would be nice to have a contract at SSR just for that reason, but I don't want 150 points there...

You can add-on as little as 25 points at ANY resort. But just be aware that you only get the 11-month booking advantage for the number of points you own at the given resort.

The thresholds for add-ons are:

25 - Minimum for any add-on contract
50 - Minimum to finance purchase through DVC
100 - Minimum to take advantage of any promotional pricing in place (at SSR, that would be the current $87 pp price)

They also run special incentives from time-to-time which require specific purchase volume. Currently if you buy 120 or more at SSR you get a one-time bonus of 100 additional points.

The minimum add-on at any DVC resort is 25 points for a cash purchase. (50 point minimum for Disney financing.) If you own at OKW, BWV, VWL, HH, VB or BCV and want to purchase at SSR, 25 is the minimum.

Add-ons will have the same Use Year and will have the same contract number with a variant suffix (.001, .002, .003, etc).

The cost is currently $89 for the original resorts and $95 at SSR. There are incentives for larger SSR purchases.

Minimum for initial purchase (at any resort) is still 150 points thru DVC directly.

My understanding is that DVC is holding a pool of points in currently-available buildings for current member add-ons. If you are current member, you could probably have SSR points in your account by close of business TOMORROW.

Only new members are getting the incomplete buildings and potentially have to wait a few months before receiving their points.
