For example, If I owned 100 points at OKW and wanted to add on through Disney, could I waitlist 50 points at BWV ?

If so, would it be 1 contract or two (able to be separately sold) and would the use year be the same.

(Sorry, but the search is coming up empty).

If your UY is available then you wouldn't have to wait list you could just buy them. If not, then you would go on the wait list. They would be two contracts under your member number.

Would this apply for an add on to my "non home" resort.

Technically it would be 2 contracts which could be sold separately if you desired. The only different in the contract number would be the last three digits... example XXXXXX.001, XXXXXX.002, etc. It doesn't matter if they are at the same resort. I own at OKW and SSR and the contract numbers are the same (except for the last 3).

When buying direct you would have to get the same UY as your existing contract unless you purchase 150 points or more and want to request a different year. Then you would get a new contract and new member number.

If you do the normal add-on thru DVC, the birds-eye view looks like the points are all from one contract. Really, the only difference would be that you are still bound by the booking restrictions. If you would only be able to use the 100 pts at OKW for ressies at OKW at 11 months, likewise you would only be able to use the BWV pts for ressies at the BWV at 11 months.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for taking the time to post a very comprehensive reply.

It seems to work as I had hoped - allowing me to add on at different resorts (maybe at 50 points a clip to allow more rotation among resorts) and also allow an easier way to break it back up if I want to partially sell off to reduce my share later in life.
