When you buy through Disney, do you still have to pay closing costs?
About what does it come out to, total (cost per point plus closing)for BWV?
(I'm negotiating a purchase of 50 points through the resale marketand just wanted to compare.)
Also, I noticed on the timeshare store listings that Saratoga Springs resales are at $77 a point. What did Disney first offer SS at?

Hello!

You don't pay any closing costs through Disney....The points are $89 each. If you're not already a DVC Member, you have to purchase 150 points to start with, when you buy direct. If you're already a member, you can buy amounts starting at 25 (50 if you want to finance).....

Having those prices does help...good for comparison.
I also found out from the seller of the points I'm interested in, that $200 was for actual closing costs and about $220 for Disney transfer and the ROFR procedure. A broker at one of the resale stores told me that the seller often pays for the Disney transfer, but I wonder if they just add it into the closing costs.

So, at $75 a point for 50 points, it would be $4 a point for the real closing costs and about $10 per point for the Disney transfer/ROFR and closing costs.
If people are asking $80 per piont on resale...then it just makes sense to buy off Disney (provided you are already a DVC member.

Allllllrightey then....the math is starting to make sense in my Pooh-brain.
