I can't believe I'm even thinking about an add on, lol, but ...

I have a quick question. I'm thinking of getting on a waitlist for some VWL points (around 50). If I bought these points, what are the benefits to having such a small amount at a different resort other than where I currently own? (other than the 11 month window). Can I ever dip into my BCV points for a VWL stay?

For example, let's say I want to stay at VWL and I do own 50 points. I call them at the 11 month window and I really need 80 points for that stay. Can I use my 50 VWL points and then 30 of my BCV points for that stay? (I know I could borrow from the next years's VWL points, but let's say I didn't want to.) Does that make sense?

Unfortunately, you would have to borrow VWL points for the reservation at the 11 month window. Annmarie

You could though, borrow or bank those 50 VWL points and so that you could use up to 150 at a time for the 11 month window...

At 11 months you would only have the 50 points at the VWL to use unless you borrowed or use banked points. At 7 months you could use your BCV points for that trip. You would have to make the first part of your reservation at VWL then the next part at BCV and at 7 months try to change the whole thing to VWL. This is NOT rude behavior.

Owning the 50 points there does not give you an 11 month priority for all of your points. The other alternative is to book WL and BC both for the days you need then change over to WL with the BC days at the 7 month window. As noted you could bank or borrow points with WL to get as many as 150 for one trip.
