My use year is June 08. If I add on points in May 09 will I get points for both 08 and 09? If so, can I bank those 08 points since its past the deadline and they are ready to expire?

You would need to add on as close to your UY BEFORE it starts to get the previous years points, and pay the fewest amount of MF's. So for a June UY, try to get points in April or May '09.

yes, you want to start the process in april or may 2009, so that you will get 2008 & 2009 pts (assuming 2008 pts are available for your resort's contract...but they typically are when you add-on directly). when you buy direct in these situations, DVC will generally allow you to bank the 2008 pts even though you are technically past your window, but you should bank them immediately.
