Add On Points

We have just purchased less than a month ago 160 pts. at SSR and for future reference I am trying to understand how add on points work when they are probably different use year and may be at a different resort. If you get 50 or 100 add on, could someone explain to me regarding the booking with different points and different use years or maybe the same use year. It would be nice to add on a little at a time but I want to understand that first.

If you buy your add on from Disney, they will require it to be the same use year of your base contract. The only exception is if you buy at least 150 points at the new resort, in which case they will allow a different use year.

Even if you buy a resale, try and keep the same use year. It will make things a lot easier to follow.

If you own at two resorts, the 11 month rule still follows the points. You can't combine them for the same reservation until the 7 month window opens.
