No we haven't stayed there yet but all the pictures i've seen look amazing. Of course the animals and the nice rooms at Kidani are awesome!

No, we'll be staying there for the first time in May. I keep saying I won't add on until CRV is announced but I'm wondering if I'll feel differently after we stay at AKV!!! (MAYBE just a SMALL add on if we love it)? The rooms and plans do look amazing.....very excited about Kidani, like you! I'm slightly apprehensive b/c we've never stayed so far away from the MK. We do love AK though.

No one has stayed at Kidani yet, because it isn't open. Only Jambo is currently open. We are hoping Kidani will be open and available for January!

FYI - We were talking about staying at AKV in general and then commenting on how Kidani looks like it will be amazing. Of course we are well aware that Kidani isn't open yet. If you read up, we were talking about when it WILL open.

We are CR (and MK location) addicts too! If there is eventually a CRV, are you concerned that you will have a hard time booking at 7 months out?? We're currently contemplating purchasing 270 pts for OKW from a friend (we will be 1st time buyers), but concerned about the "7 mo window". Thx!!

We also just added on 25 points at AKV last week (OCT UY). We were actually put on a waitlist (for about 1 1/2 days) when our guide called and said those magic words...the points are in your account

My wife called me today excited about the "New DVC Bag" we got. Another one added to the collection. Happy Days!

ya i'm thinking we should have made it 225 instead of 210 when we bought in. it would be so much easier then saving the money to pay cash for 25 points now.

what is the current rate at AK anyways? is it still 104? or can you get them cheaper?

Count us in as being bit by the bug, ADD-ON-ITIS. Just off the Magic Saturday and we thought AKV would be a nice compliment to our BCV. Actaully we were ready for more points, started out in a studio and are now ready to stay in a 1BR. This brings our total points to 310.

It's addictive isn't it. Actually we've been owners since 2003 and this is our first add on, not by choice on my half. DH is the one that decided last week we needed more points.....who was I to stand in his way!

Yes, there are different opinions out there, but I am concerned about needing the home resort booking window. The MK resorts have an emotional tie for me. I'm thrilled we own at AKV, and will be happy to get the first offer if CRV is announced. If it IS CRV, nothing will make me happier than to own there! If it's one or the other for you (OKW or CRV), I might hold on a bit longer to see what announcement is made. I'm certain you could always buy resale at OKW.

We've decided to bite the bullet and purchase at OKW!! We are so excited!! If, in the future there IS a CRV, then we will likely purchase more points then!
