Add on points is this a good deal?

We are looking at adding on 130 points, and what I was told was if we did not take the cruise we would get $18 off per point. I know when we initially bought our 370 points we got $10 off per point plus developer points and a $1000 dollar gift card. Does anyone know if it is a different promotion per Guide or is it set. I have heard of people getting the $18 off and AP's or DDP. I just want to make sure I am not missing anything, it seems like everytime we buy something I miss out on something big. Thanks!

No, the incentives are the same--unless you buy at DL, on a cruise, or sometimes through Doorway of the Dreams (think that is the name). There are sometimes extra incentives in those circumstances.

However, if you are buying over the phone through WDW guides, then you would be eligible only for the $18.00 off. I just added on 130 points at BLT and that is what I got. I asked about the AP's, and told I wasn't eligible since I took the full $16.00 off per point--would have only been eligible if I took $8.00.
