ADD on Disney Dining Plan When Arrive at Resort

Hi.

I am arriving at Disney World on Nov 22nd staying at the All Stars Music for 5 nights. I currently have my hotel rate under AAA. I called up Disney trying to add the Disney DIning Pland and was told that the rate would change since it was part of a package. Does anybody know if you can add on the Disney Dining Plan after you check in as an add-on if you go to the concierge?

As far as I know, the Dining Plan cannot be added on at check-in. It must be requested in advance.

The Disney Dining Plan can only be obtained as part of a package. Room-tickets-dining.

No, you cannot.

The Disney Dining Plan is available to only:
Disney Resort Guests booking a Magic Your Way package, which includes the room and at least a one-day park pass for each person on your reservation (the same 'level' pass, by the way); and
Guests staying at DVC properties paying for their rooms with DVC points.

BOTH groups need to add the Dining Plan in advance of arrival - there are some discrepancies whether this means three days or five days.

DDP is not a separate compenent that can just be added to a room only res, esp at or after check in. Even if you had a MYW package already you could not add the DDP at check in or after.
As stated, the DDP is part of a travel package (MYW tickets, DDP and room)
For a AAA package, you would have to go through a AAA agent.
So your room only AAA reservation would have to be canceled and re-booked as a MYW package direct through Disney or as a MYW AAA package through a AAA agent.
