add on at CR or AKL

Both! Of course, we'd have too many points then owning at 4 different resorts. But I'd like to keep them for retirement and maybe rent them or transfer them in the meantime.

We will probably not add on at Contemporary or AKL. We own at VB, VWL and BCV and if we decide to add on, it will be more points at BCV because that's where family wants to go. I'm also waiting to see if they ever do Eagle Pines and how large it would be.

I voted for no way - happy with my points. I would only add on if I really loved the look of the building, area and pool at CRV, but otherwise maybe stay there occasionally. AKV does not appeal to me...

remember once these DVC resorts open you can't use your points anymore at the resort part.

Yes, if you look at the places you can use points at at Disney you will notice that neither Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge or on the list. That's because there is a DVC there. (Now in the case of Beach Club you can still use points at YC so... I don't think that's a big loss!)

I don't think I'd add on for either...But I'm REALLY glad that so many people seem to want to add on to a DVC at the Contemporary. I thinking there's bound to be people that will sell their current contract at BCV and then I'll do a small add on there.

Hopefully the price will adjust a little too with people finally having their dream come true...A monorail DVC, next to the MK.

My DVC heaven is BCV...walking distance to WS and stormalong bay!

I would add on at CRV in a heartbeat. My dh, however, is saying "no more points". We currently have 462 pts. at SSR. Now if this doesn't happen for a year or two I'll have some time to persuade him otherwise. Marie

The Contemporary Resort holds a special place in our hearts because it was the first resort we stayed in and we always refer to it as our first Disney home so we definately will add points there when it is announced.

I would have thought my family would love AKL but we stayed there for a few nights about a year ago in a savannah room and both my husband and my daughter thought it was okay but preferred the Beach Club so I don't think we would add any points there.

I would probably do a good size add on at CRV and would like to try VAKL. If I liked VAKL I might be convinced to do an add on there too, but there would have to be savanah views.

After a very long discussion with my fiance we both have decided that as tempting as AKL would be IF there was a view of the animals the cost of that future resort is not feasible for us and we already own 300 points and don't need anymore at this point. However, with those jumping on the band wagon to purchase into those resorts we may sell 150 of our SSR points and buy an OKW contract instead. We don't like the "hotel" style DVCs so CRV is definitely out and AKL would only appeal to us because of the animals and nothing more. OKW is our favorite resort and most likely will remain so even with the addition of future DVCs

We are happy with the points we own at this time. I think if we were to add on I would opt to do it with one of the resorts we already own. However, I would try to book at the new resort at the 7 month window.
