Add day to Park hopper

I know this has been asked before, but I can't find the link. I have a 4 day ph and won't know until the end of the 3rd or maybe even the 4th day if I am going to need to add a day. Can I add one day on the 4th day or do I need to do this before the end of the third day?

You can upgrade your ticket to a 5 day PH as long as the existing ticket is valid. In your case, until the park closes on your 4th day.
