I think I read here quite some time ago that while at WDW, you can purchase an additional day for your expiring PH passes. Is that still true? If so, where do we get them, how much, etc? Can they be purchased at our resort? We have 4 days left on a park Hopper from 2 years ago, and we need 5 days. Trying to avoid buying another PH pass this year. Thanks!

I may be wrong but I think you can take your 4 day hopper and upgrade it to a 5 day. Your other option is to just pay the entrance to one of the parks that you know you will be spending a whole day in like MK(no need for a hopper).

You can not add days to an exisiting pass. The only thing you could do is trade it in for a new pass, as hockey mom said.

Since it is a couple of years old you are better off getting a one day one park ticket. Your trade in value will be rated at what you paid for the ticket two years ago, not the current value.

I just did this 2 weeks ago. I had an old 5 day park hopper pass purchased last year, and needed and extra day.

I went to Guest Relations outside the Magic Kingdom, and the lady told me that the rule is they can be upgraded but it has to be done within a week of their first use. So if you had used a day 2 years ago, you wouldn't be able to upgrade them now.

That being said, I only needed the one pass to have a day added too, and the lady was very nice and did it for me. She hesitatingly asked if there was more than one pass, and when I said no, she said she'd help me out.

So in short, I was told by Guest Relations that you can only add days to a park hopper pass within a week of the park hopper pass's first use.

Bummer! :( We like to park hop, don't want to be restricted to one park for the day. We did use some of the days 2 eyars ago, so I guess we'll have to buy new passes. I know they never expire, I just didn't want to have that extra expense this year if we could get around it. Oh well! thanks, everyone.

Disneyspeak is a language of its own. :(

The GR CM was correct about the time limit to upgrade the ticket. But what she didn't tell you is that there is NO time limit to applying the dollar credit of the unused park admissions towards a new ticket. In Disneyspeak, upgrading and applying the dollar value are two completely different things.
