ADD A WISH Challenge

The members of Team ADD A WISH (WPASADI) really miss the Biggest Loser challenge and we have been working so hard on 6 WPASADI challenges that we sort of fell off the wagon and need some support.

I'm starting this thread on the eve of our last group challenge (after this we move on to individual rounds if we win)!

Anyone is welcome, but we NEED this support. Plus I think we are going to have withdrawls. We've spent 2 months locked away in a Private Board of the DIS working hard and losing lots of sleep.

Ok girls, this is for us.............we must put ourselves as number #1 !

Well I slept in till 11:36am today? Can you believe that. All that work on the challenge really made me tired. Plus I haven't been feeling to well and had a small bug the past two days. So now I'm getting ready for another cheerleading competition today. This one is at our own High School but sponsored by a local ALL Star Team, so we are guests!! It's going to nice to have our whole town in support of us, instead of feeling like outsiders, lol! Last weeks' competition was in Philly and there were a lot of Philly teams and not so many suburb teams.

So I've had a blueberry smoothie and since I basically missed breakfast I guess I'll take a snack with me and have a nice dinner and call it a day!

BTW, I just saw that judging ends 9pm on Wednesday, at least we have a few days off, but boy is it going to be tough to wait.

Each judges can give up to a 100 points - or was it 100 points between them. Something like that. YOWZA I can't wait!!

I know what you mean Jill - I've forgotten what relaxing was like.

DH said to me yesterday morning - I can tell the challenge is over. I said How? Why? :confused3 :confused3 He said because your happy and bouncing around. When a challenge is going on , your saying "leave me alone, not now, etc! It is a relief to have this last challenge done. I actually got to watch a movie with the family............oh the simple pleasures.

DD's Cheer team came in 3rd yesterday. They missed 2nd by 2 points. Our JV squad missed 1st by 1 point. We missed 1st by over 20, so we weren't even close. It was a nice afternoon.

So this morning I started out ok, and then I had a few things for lunch I shouldn't have. Starting tomorrow - I am back on WW commando style. Luckily thought, the scale was down even though I haven't been 100% the past few days.

DH is working early and late shifts (it's his bribe payment for getting out of Iraq), I guess I can live with him working day and night for the next month and then going on a 2 week military trip the beginning of March. Just means if we move on I'm going to have a harder time finding time to sit and do stuff. But I will survive. I'll just take it one challenge at a time! They certainly can't be as difficult as ones meant for 8 people (gee we have hardly ever had 8 on a challenge).
 
Ok, it's Monday and I am on track today!!! I made sure to buy some Kashi Meals and Lean Cusines for lunch until I get myself fully in my zone. It was nice not having to think what I"m bringing to lunch today!

How is everyone doing? Enjoying the break! Tim's messages are saying all the scoring is really close!! This one is a nail biter. At least I feel confident we put out a great challenge and whatever happens it wasn't from us having a great hotel!
 
Hey Melanie! I bought a bunch of Lean Cusines and have been having them for luch. They are very good! I'm working on getting back on track, measuring my food, journaling and drinking my water. Its too cold to walk today so I'll climb the stairs a few extra times!
 
I'm oficially joining WW this morning! I looked into Curves yesterday but they don't have any child care available so I'll look into Lucille Roberts today. I hope they have some sort of a special or something.

Wow the scale was down this morning. I think I only have 4 pounds to get back to where I was before Christmas. That's totally doable!! YEAH!

It feels really good to be slightly on track. I still don't feel that focus and momentum I want to feel. Hopefully I get that back soon.

Those lean cuisines & Kashi meals have really helped. Not having to think about lunch till I get my act together has helped. Especially now that DH is working nights.

Debi- When I go to WW meetings I feel so much more in control. I didn't get to go this week because DS had guitar lessons and DD had a basketball game -and of course it was just me schlepping them everywhere at night. Tonight is DD's last basketball game so at least that is one less thing once tonight gets here. Plus I don't have to be at the entire game. I drop her off early for practice and show up around half time.

So what is everyone doing this weekend? I've been enjoying the sleep. I've gotten to bed by 10:30pm at least 2 nights this week, and last Saturday I slept till 11:36 - That felt really good. My husband has guards this weekend and is working nights during Guards so I basically won't see him much this weekend. DD has a birthday party tomorrow (that reminds me I need to plan hers) and Church. I think that and grocery shopping and a stop to Walmart are my only must have's.

I was sort of hoping we would know about the challenge so that if we moved on our first challenge might be over a weekend. I hope if anything it falls into next weekend. I would be in lots of trouble if it were during the week and had no weekend to work on it.

Hope everyone is doing well. Should we make an official day of the week to WI on and report how we are doing? My WW WI's are on Tuesday's, how about everyone else?
 
I just told Molli (last night) that even though I have not had much time to be on the boards where is Melc and AlaskaMOM - not even one word from them ????? I knew you guys were busy with challenges - YOU ARE AWESOME - and :cheer2: for ya!

AND DEBBIE - nice to see you again too. I have wanted to get a note off to MaryLiz (actually since the holidays) please say "Hi" to your sis's - and how is Mom and Art and the kidos ...........

Tinkamom - have we met - sorry, if we have and I have forgotten, but if not - Bev here - my DD is ohMom - good to see that you are "back on track"
- whatever works - that is the way to get back on the positive track :banana:

Me- I am in the Easter Challenge and really just this week - I have the "gusto, mojo, and desire" to get this extra weight off AGAIN - so it's 10 lbs off by April 8th for me!

Cyber hugs and are you in the finals???? I am sorry that I am just not able to keep up with your great challenge work - BUT I am thiking about you and can't wait to see what your reward will be for ALL your hard work!!

Tinkamom was on one of the other BL teams (maybe purple?) and she is on our ADD A WISH challenge team!

Maybe I should join the Easter challenge. I need something, I just can't seem to get back into this right now. I really want to and I need a jump start. I guess what I need to do is to just MAKE THE DECISION and not allow myself to come up with excuses. I have to get on the ball and get back into gear.

I go on vacation the beginning of July and I really want to be back down to goal by then. If I get in gear now I think I could be or at least be close. If I keep putting it off I won't.

So here today from this moment forward I am DECIDING to get back on track and do what I need to do. I know I can, I just have to DECIDE to do it!

The last challenge had to be reworked a little due to some unforseen problems with how "real" all of our websites looked. We had to change a few things to protect the "innocent". So judging should be done Friday or Saturday. They are eliminating 5 teams and the top 4 go on to the "individuals". I so hope ADD A WISH makes it, we've worked so hard (as have all the teams). It's been fun as well as a LOT of work!!


So how is everyone doing??? I hope everyone has been able to do better than me. Not sure why I'm having so much problems. Luckily my weight the past few weeks has been teetering right around the same area. I've had enough good days to counteract the bad days and it's not as bad as it could be.

Ok I'm here (again, with tail between legs)

I'm so proud of you mel and you too debi. You've come thru the whole wpsadi thing still able to get on track. I've been talking to myself til I'm blue in the face and still I don't seem to have the willpower and motivation I had before.

I've been bad: no exercise for the month of feb, totally off my eating plan, I even had cookies the last couple of days!!! ( I made them, white chocolate w/ macadamia YUMMY!)


The last time I checked the scale I was up 4 pounds from BL ending weight, but that was 2 weeks ago, I wonder what damage I've inflicted on myself in the last 14 days?

Though I will admit I still have not succombed to the Pepsi, not one single drop of undiet or uncaffeinated soda for me since July. (only dt rootbeer, fresca, and dt orange ocassionally) And this is still a big thing I was totally hooked on the pepsi!!!

My goal is to get back in to my exercise routine and start eating more consciencely and to lose what I've gained PLUS another 15 pounds and call it good!!! I won't be a size 4, but I will be so happy to be a 10 (half of what I started out as!)

Hi Amber - Of course you can join in!! I'm so glad to see some of my BL friends!!

I need to start my exercising again. I've been bad lately, especially since WPASADI started.

The WPASADI challenge was a lot of fun. We just got eliminated after the last group challenge - this week the individuals start. Prizes are being awarded once the individual rounds start. We did 6 challenges. The first one was creating a red carpet event with $500,000.00, we didn't have to pay for the location or our entertainment but we had to account and keep track of each and every dollar and location we spent. That one was tough because it was a lot of tedious tracking and it was our first one. 2nd we did a parody to a TV, we had 24. 3rd was creating a sister ship to the Magic. 4th was taking MGM and creating a celebration in the year 2071. We had to show how things would be different and what technology there would be. The 5th was creating a prequel to a Disney movie - We got Pirates of the Caribbean. & the last one was creating a sister hotel to the Swan and Dolphin. We had an awesome entry for #6, but 5 teams got cut and only 4 moved on.


Jill - Glad your here. I know it's hard. You need to face that scale. It's always hard for me, but once I do that it's easier to move on.
