Hi y’all. My daughter and I currently have a package booked through Disney - 3 nights with a 3 day base ticket for Thursday 6/27 - Sunday 6/30. We arrive really early Thursday morning and depart Sunday morning. We’re thinking about staying Sunday and leaving Monday instead. I’m not sure the best course of action to accomplish this since it’s so close to the trip - Can I change my package this close to time or do I need to book the extra night separate and add a day to my tickets once I get there? Can I even add a day to tickets we already have or will I have to purchase a separate 1 day ticket? Ive already checked and the resort is available- same type of room we already have booked. TIA.

I'd call. There's no guarantee that your resort has an open reservation and in your category. That's better done in a conversation with a CM.

If the resort is available as if it was a new reservation for all 4 nights, you can have that night added to your current package. If the 4 nights isn't available as one reservation but the last night is available for just the 1 night, you would have to book that night separately. If the latter is the case, you might want to call and ask to speak to someone in guest services as sometimes they will add that onto an existing reservation (regular reservation CMs don't have that ability, but guest services does). As far as tickets, I would think you could add to that as well, but I don't know if it works differently than in the past with tickets now being date/range specific.

Yes, if the room is available for all 4 nights, you can modify your reservation. You can modify to extend your tickets as well. Simply call WDW and ask to modify your package. You are within 30 days and, technically, a $50 change fee applies, but they usually waive it if your package cost goes up.
