I think maybe go with white and pink...more white than pink. It's kinda like when a bride does white and the girls get colors...but the opposite!!

And yes FMIL is very obnoxious. Yesterday my sister called me and told me that DF's brother (who she hangs out with every now and then) was talking to her the other day and she asked him if he got the wedding email. Well that just opened up a whole mess of nasty comments from him..... here are some examples...

"I dont know why they can't just have it here"
"It's so selfish that they're going away to get married because my grandfather can't go"
"I can't get time off of school"
"not even my mother wants to go"

Lovely huh? My sister got all upset and told him her was a jerk and that since its his older brother whose getting married he should want to be there more than anyone. And in rebutle to those comments he made

1.) we can not have it here because not only can we not afford it right now, but its not what we want anyway
2.) DF's grandfather IS invited he just doesn't want to travel
3.) We are getting married on a friday so they will only need to miss ONE day of classes... and i know its been a while since i've been to college but i think you can ask your teacher for the assignment ahead of time
and
4.) I dont care if she doesn't want to go... HER LOSS!!!

My biggest concern is that since we moved the wedding to 10/2 you won't be able to stalk my wedding! I think you need to convince your DF that you need to stay longer on your honeymoon!

So its another rainy monday here is new england (for those of you who don't live here its rained almost everyday this past month) and I have a few updates!

I went to my DR friday for my annual physical and geuss what... I lost weight!!! I went from 140 to 132!!!!! I started a little bit of a wedding diet and i guess between that and working on the house so much the weight just kind of fell off! I was super excited! I saw the weight on the scale and said "YESSS!!!" the Medical Assistant said "well good for you most people get all upset when they get weighed!" Then i asked my DR about lovely Aunt Flow and the wedding date and she gave me some good advice so we are safe! No aunt flow ruining my wedding!!

DF and I finished out kitchen renovation!!!! I am so sore this morning but its finished! I have some pictures but i'll have to upload them from home later. I just love how it came out! It reminds me of kitchens i've seen in magazines and on HGTV.

finally Since flowers are all set for the msot part I'm moving on to another topic I need to decide on.... Hair and Make-up.... not how it'll be done but by whom. I brought in the list of people Disney recommends to work today and i'm going to try and do some research. The two that i've heard the most about are Patricia Lejune and Ana from beauty speciale. I'm looking for more of a dramatic look so i'm leaning more towards Ana... any thoughts? Did/is anyone use a different stylist and have any comments?

OMG...I have the same problem with people making statements about our choice to get married so far away, well in my case, another country. And all the people making those comments are the ones that we don't want there anyway !!!!

I really think in the end people are just jealous because they didn't think of the awesome idea of getting married in disney world!!! You seem to be handling it well though, good luck with it in the coming months, and if you need someone to complain too, I'm here and I understand!!!

i'm getting over the whole "people being mean" thing. I just know that this is waht i've wanted since i was 3 years old and spent my first vacation in DW... I just never thought it would be possible. yes because clearly the entire family consists of two people! God people "if you dont have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"!!!!!!!!

as for hair and make up i did some research and i think i like about face, beaute special, and patricia lejune. I think its going to come down to $$ so we'll see! I'll keep you posted!

thats awesome about the weight! i think i need to start doing home renovations...i started weight watchers two weeks ago and im down a whopping 2 pounds ( although i suppose mcdonalds chicken selects at 3am wont help....)

seriously? he cant miss college classes? i slept through almost all of my 8am and 930 am classes consecutively for an entire semsester and still passed...not that im proud of it...but i think hed be fine missing the class...esp since he can explain ahead of time! people are rediculous.....we are in the minority...i remember when i was in college and my cousin got married in disney, i wasnt originally invited because my aunt assumed i wouldnt leave school .... YESSS!!!! you'll have to look at my color scheme and dress in the same color as my BM's once we all start walking down SBP's aisle you just hop in line!

And yes home renovations are HUGE when it comes to loosing the weight! I'm so sore this morning from all the lifting and drilling. but it'll be worth it when my dress looks hott on me!!!

And yea i totally slept through and skipped a few college classes here and there. He's just looking for any reason not to go. His brother is a wierdo. I mean when adam and i were his age we had an apartment, full time jobs, a dog, bills, and cars we bought ourselves (yea his brother got help buying his car ) I mean i know he's in college and everything but i feel like the maturity is at a 12 year old level. But again i'm not going to let it bother me anymore. I'll have enough DIS bride support to help me through!

After emailing cosmotologists, getting annoyed with DF's family, and spending a rediculouse amount of time on etsy and ebay I decided last night that i needed to do something to get my mind off of wedding! So I headed out to the craft store and bought some yarn and a new crochet hook so i could start making one of my famouse blankets. I learned how a few years ago and i made like 3 of them and then after moving and stuff i stopped doing it. But i must say that it is VERY calming and relaxing, except when my dogs run away with the yarn in their mouth, but over all very relaxing! I'm looking through the yarn and i find the perfect flurry yarn and i find our wedding colors. I'm super excited and go out to my car to find my front license plate hanging off my car... Oh well no biggie i'm literally 3 mins from my house and i'll have DF screw it in once i get home. Nope! I start driving home when i get pulled over... ... the officer "noticed" i had no license plate in front, so i told him i must have pulled up to far in my parking spot because it had just fallen off. Then he asks for my license and registration and i can't find it! DF cleaned out my car for me last week and i think he may have thrown it out by mistake because i can't find it anywhere. The officer made me sit there for 15 mins while he looked up my information. I was so upset. I didn't get into trouble or a ticket but i just get so nervouse around police officers (like hands shaking) and embarressed when people are driving by looking to see if you're being arrested. After he finally let me go and gave me a lecture i got home and had a moment for myself. I was so aggrevated, but it could've been worse.

I cleaned up our room, kicked the dogs out (they stole my yarn one too many times) put on my sex and the city DVD's and started to crochet. I got a good amount done and i'll post some pictures later. Its nice because once you get into a groove it takes your mind off of everything! I'm hoping to have it done so i can take it with me on the plane... i always freeze on the plane rides to disney!

Ok back to wedding stuff.... Like i said i'd emailed a few cosmotologist on the disney vendors list. I'm torn between Patricia Lejune, About Face, and Beaute Speciale. I'm leaning more towards Beaute Speciale. Something about how all their pictures of brides look different. The brides dont all have the same hair and makeup. If anyone is interested i have their price lists, PM me and i can send it to you!

I am also torn on who to use for cosmetology. For me its between Patricia and Beaute Speciale. I really love the brides who have used both. For me, I think Patricia does a more clean natural look, and BS seems more like what the MAC ladies would do for you. I think I may go with Beaute Speciale in the end, just because in my regular life, I love makeup, and wear it everyday (and am not scared of some colour!!) so I need someone who is willing to apply a decent amount. I think the natural look that Patricia seems to do is really pretty, but for me, I think I want something really creative, and from some of the pics I have seen from disbrides who have used Ana and her crew, I think she can do that!

It's called a waffle blanket. I found the directions online somewhere. I saved it on my old computer that recently died but if i can find the directions again i'll send them to you!
Yea i dont know why i get so nervouse. It wasn't like i was speeding or driving under the influence, i just always get intimidated when they walk up to your window like that. But it worked out fine. I've only been pulled over one other time and it was for a light that was out. I'm not a bad driver just obliviouse to things when i have wedding on the brain!

I love my S&TC DVD's. They crack me up! I alternate betwee those and the golden girl's. yea i'm a huge golden girl fan... it was something my nana and i used to watch together. Even though shes gone i watch those and it reminds me of her.... ... not to mention its the original S&TC!

I think i'm going to go with beaute speciale too! I feel the same way about make-up... i'm looking for that dramatic "check me out!" look and i think that even thought paricia lejune does amazing work it isn't what i want for my wedding day. You only get married once so why not? Money wise they're cheaper too because they don't charge a fee to come to WDW like Patricia does. If you go with Beaute Speciale make sure you look through their artists. They all seem to be VERY good but they all do alittle something different. I'm hoping to request either Rosa, Ana, or Nicole. If you dont specify they just send whoever so make sure once you pick who you want you let them know!

Its funny you said that because when i got home after being pulled over i was crying and DF goes "what happened" and when i told him he just laughed... he said i should be psyched i didn't get a ticket.... he's right. Looking back now i dont know why i was crying i'm such a girl! I didn't know it was a big deal not to drive on with only one license plate... i've seen so many people driving with a decorative plate in the front, like the airbrushed ones you see them making on the beach. Whatever maybe the cop thought i was cute... yea right!

I didn't think i'd have the patients either... but it honestly does become a stress reliever. DF was glad i went to buy some supplies because he knows it helps me unwind... i dont think he could handle my anxiety anymore!

I fully encourage having something as a hobby just to keep your mind off of things when planning gets stressful! It helped alot last night... i forgot how good its made me feel.

So I decided on Beaute Speciale. The $$ made sense and so did their work for the kind of make-up I wanted on my wedding day! Now I just have to decide which artist I want.... like i said to Mandy the three top picks are Rosa, Nicole, and Ana. I've heard great things about Ana but not much about the other two. Rosa I really like because she worked for MAC and I love their make-up! Nicole sounds good to because shes worked on photoshoots, runways, commercials and Tv so obviously shes GOT to be good! Maybe if I email them some examples of what i'm looking for they can let me know who the best is!

I also posted a thread on the DVC rent/trade boards asking if someone would be willing to rent us points for BLT. I know it was early but figured it couldn't hurt to try and see if i get anyone who'd be willing to rent to me when the time comes! Whenever i think of staying at BLT i do this literally this
