Harry and the Potters are one of many Wrock(Wizard rock) bands out there. I have been to Wrock events that included over 50 bands on the roster. There is also Draco and the Malfoys, Swish and Flick, Ministry of Magic, and the list goes on and on. My favorite is Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls but I'm really not too into many of the others. Usually there is a Wrock concert included in the various Potter conventions, such as the ones held at Universal in the summer. Wizard rock and the Star Kids(the group that created A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequeal) are part of the Potter nerd way of life.

Hi! I'm from the team working on Ascendio this summer (July 12 - 15) and we're going to have some terrific wrock bands performing on July 12 (which is the same day as Night of a Thousand Wizards, our private event in the WWoHP that goes til 1 AM) - and also, about half of StarKid are coming, too, on Friday and Saturday. Performers - bands, shows, concerts, fanfilms and more - are all definitely a part of the full Harry Potter experience, no matter when you come into the fandom.

Sounds like a great time!! Every time I read the post with all the band names (Draco and the Malfoys) I crack up....I love that one.
