So we are going to Disney for our Sept 30-Oct 6, 2013 Honeymoon (and my first time at Disney :cool1:) and I am getting ready to book. What I'm trying to figure out is what the actual price of the Dining plans are. We are planning on booking the Plus dining in our package, in order to get a character Dinner or two which my Fiancee says is a must.

I have tried doing the package several ways and I'm just trying to figure out what to actually expect. We are staying at All Star Movies, a 4 day park pass with hopper. Here is what I have come up with so far.

Preferred Room w/OUT dining - $1487.22
Preferred Room w/dining - $2154.30

Standard Room w/OUT dining - $1378.74
Standard Room w/dining - $2045.82

I also tried it within the current Play, Stay and Dine deal to see what the savings might be if they do that deal during the time we are there. The only option was a preferred room and it came to $1737.24 for the same 4 day hopper. Even that is a $300-400 savings.

So Does the FD actually cut the amount show above? Or is it just less?

We do not have a budget for our honeymoon so we are planning on making this vacation a registry to pay for it and at this point any little bit would greatly help!

The Stay Play deal has adults paying child prices... But free dining gives it to you free. For both deals the DP for a value is the quick service and you will pay the upgrade price which is the price diff between the qsdp and regular.

You can see the actual dp prices ib the sticky in this forum for 2013.

Ah I see...I couldn't figure it out before lol. That helps to know.

Thank you! I have been looking for something that explains the DP prices for two days and couldn't for the life of me find it!

Ok...I might be doing my math wrong....

It looks like it would be $216.12 for the free dinning

VS

$205.92 for the SP&D deal....that can't be right.

Here is what I did:

Free Dinning:
$18.01 x 6 (Days) = $108.06 x 2(ppl) = $216.12

SP&D
$17.16 x 6(Days) = $102.96 x 2(ppl) = $205.92

Did I do this right? We are checking in monday Sept 30 and out Sunday Oct 6 so that would only be the six days, and NOT 7 as we are leaving on the seventh right?

Im on my phone...

But for the math take the child price of the qsdp x2 for two people and then x the number of NIGHTS youre staying. Then take the adult pricing diff between the qsdp and the ddp x2 (even though you arent paying adult price) and multiply that but the number of nights. Add the two for your total.

For FD you only use the adult difference in price since the whole qsdp is free and you arent paying child prices.

The fd will save you a bit more. The Stay and Play deal also has you paying child ticket prices but that isnt much of a savings.

ETA... I did 14.23 x 2 people x 6 nights offhand and it was around 260.00 for what you would pay for the stay and play for the qsdp versus paying nothing for the qsdp with fd.
