Ugh, the ACT.Rainy, dreary, just the type of optimistic weather setting for taking a test that can determine your future, lol. Oh well, if you're going to be stuck in a dull room for 5 hours it may as well be lousy outside so no distractions.
I always thought it was easier than the SAT, if that's any consolation for whoever is taking the test today! Hope they do well! They do the ACT's on a weekday? I thought they were only scheduled on Saturday's?

Maybe the OP is in one of those states that rolls the ACT into a State Testing day?
My son just got his scores back from the April test and now he's signed up again for June because he wants 2 points higher. Just keep trying, trying, trying....![]()
Yep, that's why I said *I* thought the ACT was easier. For some it is, depending on your strengths (or weaknesses). For others, the SATs are better for them.![]()

How long did your scores take to return? I want to go ahead and sign DS up for June so we get our own HS, but then again, don't feel like donating the $ either if he meets his goal. I kinda feel like if I sign him up before we get the score I am jinxing him. That, and I waited for DD's scores before signing her up so feel I should be fair.It was 3 weeks on the dot. We got the score report in the mail Saturday and they were posted online Monday.
I'm not sure how reporting it through the State testing will mess with time it takes though. My oldest son did the ACT/Prairie State 4 years ago but I don't remember how long his scores took to be mailed out.
It may be a school district is utilizing the ACT as a means of measuring student achievement. Schools here in Michigan had all of the juniors take it back in March on a school day.
