I'm not the type of person who likes actors because they are "hot", as someone who is educated about acting, it's methods and production values and all that jazz, I am all for ACTING, real acting, not fluffy blehh stuff.


favorites? Kate Winslet <2345-because of her commitment to a character, the ability she has to play so many different characters and they are all SO beleivable. Like when I'm watching Eternal Sunshine...Clementine is a COMPLETELY different person from say, Rose.
Leo DiCaprio- One of the great male actors of our time, sure he's done some fluffy movies (say...the basketball diaries?) but he is a GREAT performer, a great method actor, and he too, is fully commited to his characters.
Rachel McAdams- There is truth behind all her performances, she's had a "real life" and you can tell she brings her real life expiriences to the set.
Steve Carrell- HILARIOUS. Pure comic genius (minus Evan Almighty )

others; Jonah Hill, Adrien Grenier, Amanda Bynes, Nicole Kidman, Seth Rogan,John Travolta (GREAT in Hairspray!)


least favorites? Jessica Alba- can't act her way out of a paper bag. All she is is hot.

Jude Law-plays the same "charming guy" in all of his roles

best preformances? Anything by Kate Winslet, but probably my favourite would have to be Clemintine in Eternal Sunshine, she was SO REAL and beleivable, brought me to tears (which is easy to do...but still )
Nikki Blonsky is AMAZING in Hairspray too, I just her HUGE props, it's her FIRST acting role ever and she blew me away!

Favorite actor: Probably Tom Hanks. He's amazing. If you can believably act out a mentally slow man, a guy trapped on an island with nothing but a volleyball to keep him company, and bring a toy cowboy to life, you're an amazing actor. And Tom Hanks did all that and more.
Favorite actress: Hmmm. Emma Thompson is pretty great. She plays Trelawny (sp?) very well.
Least favorite actor: Jamie Kennedy can't act for crap.
Least favorite actress: I don't know.
Favorite Performances: Emma Thompson as Cybil Trelawny, Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid, Tom Hanks as anything, Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasly, Emma Watson as Hermoine Granger, and Richard Harris as Albus Dumbledore (though Michael Gambon is great).

I don't think that Toby did too bad, either. Acting was never Spidey's strong point, but the special effects and sweet plots kinda make up for it.

Johnny Depp did a great job with that role, IMO.

Favorite actor: Christian Bale. He completely commits himself to his characters. He lost like 100 pounds for his role in the Machinist, and then gained it all back and then some for Batman Begins. He also has a different accent in every single movie. He's amazing.

Favorite actress: Reese Witherspoon and Anne Hathaway. *shrugs* I don't know why, I just really like every movie they are in.

Least favorite actor: Keanu Reeves. He can not act for anything.

Least favorite actress: Jessica Alba. I don't like her

Ick. I think Jon Heder is brutal. He plays Napoleon Dynamite very well, but in everything else he is pretty brutal (IMO) ie; benchwarmers, that one with reese witherspoon (cant remember the name of it) But i will give him props for Napoleon Dynamite.

As for TObey in Spiderman...I'm not te type of person who goes to a movie for the special effects, his performance in SPidy 3 was laughable. I literally LOLed (not in a good way) The effects were great, but from the perspective of someone who likes to go to the movies for the acting portion of it, it didn't make up for it at all.

Least favorite is probably Jon Heder. He's an OK actor, but something about him kind of just scares me.
Best performance is Johnny Depp for POTC, I think he was born for that role.
Worst performance for Brenda Song as London Tipton, it looks so fake to me and it gets on my nerves with the "Yay me, I'm rich!" thing.

you dont have to have training to be a real actor or actress. and you dont need method you just gotta understand the character. its experience that makes you good at acting not training. though it helps a little bit.




i watch so little movies i cant realy name anyone unless they where in lotr or potc.
