Awwww, that's so sad. He was a funny guy and a true original. :(

He was very funny ~ especially his facial expressions!

How old was he? Sorry to hear of him passing.

:( Rest in peace, Mr. Knotts, and thanks for the memories and laughter.

He was 81.

I remember watching him in a movie called "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" when I was little. He was great.

Awwww... I'll always remember him in "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" as well as the Andy Griffith show. What a great comic.

RIP, Mr. Knotts.

 OH NO! I loved Don Knotts, he was so hilarious...may he rest in peace

In the spring of '94 we took a trip to Disney World. The day we went to MGM Studios, Don Knotts was the Guest of Honor for the day. He rode down the main drag with Mickey. Stopped in front of the Movie ride and spoke a little...then made handprints in the concrete.

Later, he appeared in one of the theaters for a Q an A session, most of which I've got on video tape.

I just edited my post above yours to add the exact same thing!! Wasn't he great in that movie. Growing up it was one of my favs. We watched it on the Family Film Festival on Sundays.

As I stumble through this life,
help me to create more laughter than tears,
dispense more cheer than gloom,
spread more cheer than despair.

Never let me become so indifferent,
that I will fail to see the wonders in the eyes of a child,
or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged.

Never let me forget that my total effort is to cheer people,
make them happy, and forget momentarily,
all the unpleasantness in their lives.

RIP, Don.
