Activities for Couples

Any ideas for special activities, touring plans both in/out of the parks, dining, etc. for couples? This will be our first trip w/o kids so we want to make it special and unique from what we do with the family. We are going in December.

The hayride through Ft. Wilderness is a tradition we will still do even though the kids won't be with us. We just love seeing the lights. Does anyone know if the carriage ride takes a route that allows you to view the xmas lights in the campground or does it just go along the beach/lake to view the electrical water parade?

We're also doing the Candlelight Processional 5 p.m. followed by dinner in the France Pavilion as part of our processional package.

I think I want to do lunch at Marakesh too.

I checked out the Disney for Couples book at the library, but most of the info was outdated and didn't really give me any unique ideas.

me and dh took the segway tour at epcot and loved it. you'd be with 8 other people and it's not romantic but it's really fun!

DH and I loved KKTK tour when we went without the kids. It is something we could never do when we travel with the kids, so we really enjoyed it. Consider an "adults only" behind the scenes tour---it was great.

How about a couples massage at one of the spas? A bit of pampering never hurts! Have you eaten at Vic and Al's? I know it's expensive but after dragggging (and I do mean draaaaaaggggging) my partner there, we both fell in love with the place! We also have done the behind the scenes tour at Ak and loved it! How about Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk? Next Spring we're bringing some friends along and are planning a nice romantic carriage ride for them (just them, btw) following our evening at the Hoop-Dee-Doo!

Whatever you do, I hope you have a great time...and the Segway tour really is a lot of fun!

Are they hayride and carriage rides only during Christmas? We will be there in Jan and are looking for couples activities too. Those sounded fun so I was wondering.

i've been planning, for a couple of months, things to do with my DH for our anniversary trip in just a couple of weeks. he has no idea we're going to see La Nouba, we're doing the KTTKT, and we're going on a wishes cruise. we've never done all three of these things so i'm really hoping we have a great time. i'm also planning on getting us massages but i'm debating where: GF, SSR, or the Swan, where we're staying at. if you guys have any suggestions on that part, i'd appreciate it.

I don't think the Swan has a spa, I know the Dolphin is putting one in right now though.

Take surfing lessons at Typhoon Lagoon! Very Cool!

Hayrides and carriage rides are year round I believe. Hayride is only at FW but carriage rides are also available at Port Orleans and Wilderness lodge too I believe. Someone please correct if I'm wrong. Check out www.allears.net for more info on activities outside the park.
