I was wondering if the TS restaurants at DW provide some kind of small activity for children to do at the table as families are waiting for their meals (like a coloring page and crayons). If so, what have you seen and at which restaurant?

I usually bring along small activity books, but if Disney provides them it would be a little less to carry in my backpack!

TIA :goodvibes

I know Trails End gave us a coloring page last time we ate there 3 years ago because they hung it on the wall and ds 2 years later is still talking about going back to make sure it is still there! :) Character meals there really isn't any need for entertainment because the kids barely have time to eat with all the excitement of the characters.

We were just there for 10 nights and we are a TS type of family. My kids are 4, 2 and 3 months. By the second week they were sick of the WDW coloring pages they provided even though they still did them. At San Angel Inn the provided the pages but said they didn't have crayons.

But every TS restaurant had the same set and they were based on the Disney TV shows not their movies.

I sometimes would bring their Wonder Coloring Books with us. I got them for the plane but they came in handy at the TS's too sometimes.

I got them at Walmart. They were around $10 or $15 and came in a case, set of color wonder markers, and 2 coloring books. My kids are still using them at home. They were the best investment for us.

We took DS when he was 4 & he bought a Peterpan Playset, not really a play-set but it had little figures hook, pan, smee & such we put them in a ziplock & they fit in his fannypack. I have seen then for almost all the movies at WDW. Worked like a charm for him.

I agree with Aneille. Our DD's (5&7) were bored with them after the 3rd TS.
"This is the same as last time!"
Take something else or make paper airplanes out of them. :teeth:

Thanks for the info. I figured that there was a good chance that everywhere had the same thing; DS7 and DD4 would really get tired of that quickly! I love color wonder, too, as well as our mini magna doodles. Even DS still will still use one if he's bored enough!

I also just remembered that at Walmart they sell small notepads that have blank games on them...tic-tac-toe, hangman, and the dot-to-dot game (where you make boxes by drawing lines between the dots)...one pad has about 40 sheets of one game. I have some, but I'll stock up before our trip.
