Howdy all,

We're planning our honeymoon for the end of May, and I'm incredibly excited! We're staying at Pop for 6 nights and doing 5 days in the parks. I'm wondering about the best ways to spend our arrival day. We land at 10:30am, so we will have most of the day to hang out at resorts or DS. We made reservations for Maria and Enzo's for late that first evening, but I'm wondering if we might be better off heading to one of the other resorts for dinner. Any other ideas on how to make the best of our arrival day? Thanks in advance!

Since you are on the Skyliner, I would consider doing a Skyliner tour and perhaps having dinner at Topolino's Terrace at RIV or heading all the way over to the Boardwalk area and having dinner at one of the restaurants over there and then enjoying the entertainment on the Boardwalk that evening. There are a number of very good restaurants in the EP resort area.

We just had pretty much the same scenario except we drove and arrived late morning. Our room was not available yet so after checking in we drove to a Skyliner resort as were were staying at French Quarter (from what I hear we were lucky they let us in). Rode it over to the international gateway at Epcot then enjoyed a leisurely walk and snack at the Boardwalk. It’s a pretty ride and fun! Then after getting into our room and settling in, we did Disney Springs that night and had dinner.

Congratulations and have a wonderful trip!

Me I would add a day, spend some time wandering the world showcase. Nothing crazy.

I would do a park as well.
But, DS does have some cool stuff. The Void is a lot of fun, and the new Cirque du Soleil show should be open.

We always skip going to the parks our arrival day and either go to fort wilderness or resort hop around the monorail loop. Then spend our evening in Disney Springs and sometimes go to the AMC theater to see a movie.

If you are at Pop, you could walk over to Art of Animation and participate in an animation class. They are usually offered at 10:00, 2:00 and 5:00.

They are located in a small area in the lobby.

Have a magical time!

I suggest a dinner at Port Orleans Riverside Boatwrights and then schedule a romantic horsedrawn carriage ride around the resort that picks up outside of Boatwrights. They have boat service direct to Disney Springs for your evening plans..

We usually schedule any dinner shows we want to do on arrival day, like the Hoop-Dee-Doo, the Spirit of Aloha, etc... That way, hitting those shows doesn't cut into our park time during the days we're hitting the parks. If we're not doing a show, then we usually hit DS to start some shopping and getting in the Spirit of the Mouse.

Btw, Congrats on the Honeymoon!.
