HELP!
I've been reading other postings and see there are mixed reviews about the children's activities. My son is on the verge of being six - very social - and we are wondering what types of things - specifics - he will be doing on the ship. Also, will he dine with us, or with the children's group? Which option is better?

We sail on the Wonder on 3/14

Thanks for any replies!

Your son is welcome to dine with you. Some of my kids favorite memories of the cruise are the fun times we had interacting with our servers at the main meal. Children will receive a special 'childrens menu' or they may choose to order from the regular adult menu -- or even BOTH! Some children do chose to dine with the 'clubs'.

You can view the sample childrens navigators to see what type of activities are available for a 5 or 6 year old on the 3 day cruise:

Our daughter turned six on our January Magic cruise. It is probably the BEST age for your son to enjoy the activities on DCL. The navigators you can find online (see previous post) don't change too much so they give you the best information available. I peeked in to some of the activities during the cruise (the Mouseketeer "gameshow", the detective fun and egg fun at the Lab come to mind) and the kids were having a blast - and learning something along the way. My daughter is also very social and we found that allowing her to have lunch a couple of times with her friends at the Oceaneers' Club made her very happy. I agree that we all had some fun times with our servers at dinner and I would hate to have her miss that. Even on the night that my husband and I went to Palo (tropicalifragalistic night), we took our kids to dinner at six and just had an appetizer, and then we had dinner at 8:30pm while they enjoyed the club. We have gone on two DCL cruises now and have two more booked and have nothing but good things to say about the activities that the club plans. Have a GREAT time!!
:D
