Activating Tickets early

Some posts said 3 days and others said 10 days. Does anyone know exactly how many days ahead of my package that I can activate my tickets? And what what the process is?

Used to be 3 days before your WDW Resort Package check-in date.
Now it's 10.

Just your a legal photo ID to any Guest Relations outside any park, or at TTC, or at DS, and the CM can activate your Package tickets up to 10 days before your WDW Resort Package check-in date.

yes 10 days! leading up to my trip last August the cm's told me 10 days, and not a single person on the boards agreed. they all said 3 days. i was so nervous going into my trip that i was going to get to the park with my kids and be sent away. but it was fine.
