Activating Park Hopper Plus?

I bought 3 Park Hopper Plus tickets yesterday at the Disney store for MIL and 2 neices who are going with us in October. Do these need to be activated in Disney or are they all set? Also my family booked the FTP. We still have 40 days so I havent received anything yet. Will we get our UPH's when we check in? Thanks!

PHP's are active when you buy them. Just walk up to the park gate and put them right into the turnstile.

UPH's are encoded onto your resort ID and thus only exist once you check in.

If you arrive early and the room isn't ready, you can still get your UPH passes.

Thanks, thats good to know because we will be there before check in. Hopefully they will have the rooms ready though.

Be sure to make a copy of the back of the park hoppers and keep it in a safe place. I usually make 2 copies, leave one home and one in my luggage. That way if they are lost they can be replaced by the code numbers.
