Activating Disney Tickets

Firstly I want to say what fantastic boards these are! I've been learning some great tips here.

Here's my question: I've bought 14 day ultimate tickets for our trip (in 10 days time ) but I've heard that I'll need to "activate" them (with a finger scan?). Will we be able to do this at a water park as we're planning to go to BB on our first morning, or does it have to be at one of the main parks?

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question but just wanted to say Hi and welcome to the DIS

It won't matter what park you visit first - they "activate" at the first WDW park you enter. Each time you enter a park, you will need to do the finger scan thing. FYI - children (under 9) didn't need to do this the last time we were there - I hope that's still the case!

I think it is still the case, i never saw a child using this method.

All the parks have the same turnstile operation.
