I seem to remember reading a long time ago that you can activate your AP voucher at the airport Disney store? Is this correct?

I'm asking because our first park morning we have the Segway tour scheduled and we have to be inside the park at 8:15. Will the tickets booths outside Epcot be open early enough to activate our passes and get where we need to be in time?

Thanks!

I can answer the first part of your question. 2 years ago, I bought DH an AP at the airport disney store. They activated it right there. I don't know if anyone else might have more recent information for you.

I don't think you can activate a voucher there. You used to be able to buy an activated pass there just like at a park window but I thought I read they stopped it.

Here's the phone #'s if you want to call:

Earport 407-825-2339
Magic of Disney 407-825-2360

We activated our passes at POR, at the front desk one time. It was about 2 years ago.

You cannot activate Annual Passes at the resort front desks. They have a completely different system. You need to go to a Park or Downtown Disney Guest Relations location.

1) You can activate at Disney Store at MCO (across from Hyatt lobby).
2) Only other places are
. . . Guest Service at any of the four parks.
. . . Guest Services at Downtown Disney

NOTE: Although you cannot activate the AP at the resort, once activated, the resor can tansfer the pass onto your room key.

Unless something has changed in the past couple of months that I haven't heard of......

You cannot put an Annual Pass on your room key (KTTW). Annual Passes are only printed on the "paper" ticket stock.

Thanks for all the replies! Does anyone think I would be able to activate them at Epcot our first morning? Would the ticket booths be open around 8 AM if the park doesn't open till 9:00?

You can go to Guest Relations outside Epcot to activate the tickets.

The windows will be open well before the park gates.

It just takes a minute or two, so I don't think you'll need an HOUR, even if there might be a few folks ahead of you.

I just called guest relations about activating APs at DTD and was told "no". They had to be activated at the theme park. I didn't think to ask about the DS at MCO. I will be buying my APs at DTD this coming weekend and will not be activating the passes until mid August. I can ask at the DTD desk to verify.

I know I wouldn't need an hour to activate our AP's, I just didn't know if the ticket booths would be open at 8:00. If you'll notice in my OP I said we needed to be inside Epcot by 8:15 for the Segway tour.

Thanks for all the replies!

I don't know what time you are arriving in the Orlando area, but maybe you could go the night before to DTD to activate your pass. Activating you AP does not take long at all but I don't know what time the booth opens at EPCOT. Like the OP said it does open earlier than the rest of the park. I know that you can't activate them at the hotel. You need to do it at one of the guest services at the park or DTD.

The Segway tour is a lot of fun. It's really cool cruising around FW when there is nobody there. :thumbsup2

You received incorrect information on the phone. ALL Guest Relations locations including the two at DTD can exchange an AP voucher for the activated ticket. If you are purchasing an AP at DTD you will not get a voucher, you will get the actual activated ticket.

Not only could you not do it before but all of the off site ticket sales locations no longer sell APs activated on purchase. You now get a voucher when purchasing the AP at any off site ticket location.
