According to allears.net The following places will sell you an activated AP.

- Any WDW major park ticket window
- Guest Relations at the major parks or at Downtown Disney and West Side
- The Ocala Disney Information Center on I-75 in Ocala, FL
- Disney's EarPort at Orlando International Airport (2 locations)
- Character Warehouse at Belz Mall 2 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Belz Mall 1 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Orlando Premium Outlets Mall in Lake Buena Vista

Q: Has anyone purchased an activated AP from Disney's EarPort at Orlando International Airport?

I'm trying seek out the most convenient way to have an already activated AP upon resort arrival without the hassle of going to DTD or a park.

I would like to know this as well. Also where in the airport is it located and what hours are they open. Thanks.

The whole activation thing puzzles me. If I buy an AP, I have to get it activated before I can check into my resort. But how do you do that if you have just gotten to WDW? Do they let you check in and then get it activated and then show them? :confused3

I did some digging on allears.net and I think I have the answers to my own question. You can purchase a new, activated AP at either of the Disney shops at Orlando Airport, but you cannot bring a pre-purchased AP voucher and get it activated there. Those must be activated at guest relations at the gate of any of the 4 main parks or Downtown Disney. Most people agree that you can show your voucher at check-in at any resort and this will enable you to calim your AP rate on your room. Many have said that the check-in CM never even asked them for any proof that you have an AP at all. Some may ask you to bring your activated AP back the next day or just before check-out to prove you have one. So the way I see it, you have 2 basic options for your AP strategy.

1. Buy an activated AP at The Earport store (ph. 407-825-2339) at the airport. This option ensures no hassles at check-in, but creates a problem in getting the Disney Dining Experience (DDE) card to save on meals. These are running about 2 months to get the card and it can't be ordered until you have ordered your AP!

2. Order the AP online or over the phone months in advance. The downside is that you have to pony up the dough when you order. When you get the voucher in the mail, call the DDE office to start that snail's pace process. Have your DDE card and voucher when you get to WDW. Check in at the resort with the voucher and activate the card at the first park you visit or Downtown Disney.

I think option 2 is the way to go.

We are going down the 20th of May and will be purchasing an AP at the Disney Information Center in Ocala. I was told by a CM that I can order the DDE after I buy the AP and go to Guest Services at Epcot at 5:30pm to pick up a temporary card for our dinner that night at Liberty Tree Tavern.

We checked into our resort(WL) without an activated AP. Our Cm was not at all concerned nor did she even ask to see it. Of note, I purchased the AP through Disney online. We went to the park that evening and activated it there. All of 3 min. for 4 passes. Then we were off to enjoy the world.

Isobar -- Just make sure you call during DDE hours. I think they are the basic 8 - 5 M - F.
They are not open weekends or evenings. Some have posted having trouble getting through, or long waits. I have noit had that experience. I just want to give you a heads up not to wait until the last minute, or a weekend to contact DDE.
Also, for DDE you will be picking up a temporary letter outside of Epcot at Guest Relations. (On the right of the ticket booths)

I ordered my PAP over the phone but did not have them mail the voucher to me. Instead, the CM I spoke to said I can pick it up when we get there. I want to order the DDE card now. My question is can I get it without having my actual voucher in hand? Has anyone done this before? I do have a confirmation # for the PAP.
