Activate/Attach Magic Bands to "My Disney Experience"

We have a trip planed for later this year, via MDE we will receive a set of Magic Bands in the standard Orange, Green, Yellow and Blue.

If I order some of the more personalized bands can I attach then to my MDE account so they will be ready for use when we make it to MCO and the Magical Express, or would they have to be activated on site at WDW?

I checked the MDE website (like I should have before posting) and there is a "Link" a magic band feature. Score one for Disney.

Since you posted, I'll share my experience. I'm very new to the whole magic band thing. I bought a couple of decorated magic bands off the Disney site and I recently linked them for our trip in June. Very easy! FYI.
