Good call! People most likely to be stung by this are people returning to the marathon after a few years off.

Good luck next weekend. Take it easy, walk early and often! After all, it's about getting to this January...and the year after that, and the year after that.

The following is from the RunDisney FAQ:

What if I have a better proof of time than when I first registered?

Please email your updated proof of time (include the race you registered for, your official race time, along with the year and name of the race) to disneysports@trackshack.com by November 1, 2013. No proof of time changes will made be made in the system after November 1, 2013 or onsite.

Thanks.

Really on the fence as to whether I start or not next week. I know that I will not stop if I start. Stopping may be the mot important tool in the box since I have only run 10 miles since the ToT. A really bad night could set back the January 'A' race significantly. It may boil down to how hard it is to find a parking spot next Saturday afternoon.

You are correct on keeping the streak.

I ran (and by "ran" I mean walk/jogged) princess this year after nursing an IT band injury for three months during which I ran a total of about 20 miles (plenty of swimming, bike, and strength to pick up the slack). It was fine, with absolutely zero expectations, running with a friend who was a few weeks recovered from knee surgery, about an hour slower than my PR. I know that if you do start, you've got the self-awareness to know exactly what your body can take. And if you don't start, you'll have made the right choice for you, and we'll see you in January.
