ACNE: Do you know the difference between Differnin Gel and Cream?

DS was using the cream and after the initial awful phase it made his face clear up. Then he went back to the dermatologist (who at his initial visit forgot to tell him that his face would get worse before it got better on the cream)... At this visit he switched him to the GEL (he said it was a little stronger and the next phase) now his face looks like it's getting worse again.
I thought maybe someone here may have experienced Differin Gel/Cream

I say he should have stuck with what was working.

It probably is working.
The way it works is to make the pores more uniform and easier for the crap to get out, instead of being stuck inside and causing problems.
So, yeah, it probably looks worse, but don't give up.

Can you use benzoyl peroxide with it, I forget? It might help with the surface junk. Clearasil is a good one. Use it only at night since it can go on thick.

The doctor gave him Benzclyne cream to put on at night. I still don't understand why he had to go to the next step when his face was looking so good. He has interviews for college all this week and, well you know, he would rather have a clear complection.
