Ack!!! They changed the Chocolate Wave!!!!!!

I'm not a white chocolate fan either. The mousse is actually layers of chocolate, mostly dark. You don't get to the JD layer until the bottom layer and you will know that the JD is there....it has a kick. I had it twice during my April/May trip and will be having it again in a couple of weeks.

Oh, yum!:cool1:

Haley -

I had this two weeks ago (drool) and nope - no ice cream :sad2:

Still the best desert I had all week. Well worth the price of the meal just to have that desert :thumbsup2

BTW - Someone was nice enough to post the recipe on my dining review. Click the following link to see it:

Actually, I think the last time I went, the inside was suppose to be Grand Marnier, rather than white chocolate...but it was still white.

It is a fairly recent change, as BCV23 said. I had it in January-ice cream, then in April-no ice cream. And does anyone else think those cherries are strong and yucky? Or is it just me bemoaning the lack of ice cream?

Am I correct in assuming that there are no actual cherries in the chocolate wave? I had this last December before the change and would love to get it again on my next trip, but I'm allergic to cherries.

The cherries are a garnish only. Maybe if you ask nicely they will give you the ice cream instead. It is so yummy and rich, the icecream was the perfect thing to balance it.

That photo is of the original Wave with the ice cream and original cookie. But I think it always had the Grand Mariner in it, it is mixed with the white chocolate, and I could never really taste it.

I had the Chocolate Wave yesterday for lunch (just got back today.) I did not enjoy it. The white stuff in the middle had a cherry flavor to me. I didn't even eat half of it. I looked like that first picture posted with the cherries.

Now, on Saturday evening I had the White Chocolate Cheesecake at Kona and that was heavenly!

Woops! The cherries are a garnish? Is that a nice way of saying I shouldn't have eaten them? No wonder it tasted so bad!
You might be a redneck if....

So, I have to remember to ask for ice cream then, right? I was looking forward to getting this for the first time...
