If you like Disneyland and never been to Disney World. Its defently worth a trip out to see it. They have 3 amazing theme parks, Magic Kingdom leaves a lot to be desired.
I am a DLRer, but I like to go to WDW. I feel like it is a real vacation. There is a lot of planning and EPCOT and Animal Kingdom are truly different than what is offered at DLR. (DHS just feels like I traveled 3,000 miles to go back to So. Cal.) I visit DLR at least once a month and am very fond of my time there. DLR feels like home to me. WDW is a vacation destination. Our next trip this June will include horsebacking riding and my DH will be taking the Richard Petty Driving course. I try to do what is not offered at DLR. There is lots to choose from and all with the Disney style of entertainment.
In our case, we bought into SSR cuz we go to WDW every other year. What I really want is GCV. I just love that Hotel and prefer to stay there over any other hotel within or out of Disney. That is my first choice. My plan is to buy when they offer to the Founding Members. But I do think that if I can't buy at that time because of unforeseen reasons, I could always buy on the resale market.
Now this is interesting. When talking with my guide, I asked what UY will be offered. She mentioned that they were going to offer the same UY that I have at SSR. NOT happy about that! I want a different UY at GCV, because I travel to DLR during the fall. I have a June UY for WDW, but then we travel to WDW during the summer. I guess I'll see what they offered. What did they do for the AKV Founding Members, I wonder.
