We have a 4 night DL trip planned for the beginning of Feb 2015. We also will be on the DCL WB Panama Canal cruise and could stay a few days after at DL or we could go to Legoland. Kids will be just turned 2, almost 4 and 6.5 in Feb and we have been to DL before. I initially was going to get APs so we could go to Christmas at DL in 2015, but financially that wasn't going to work out.
Well, I just started earning some money on the side and it is doable now BUT DH only has so many vacation days, so he would only be able to go in Feb, at the end of the cruise (and the Saturday is blocked out) and possibly for a bit in Oct-Jan sometime.
On top of that, while DH likes DL, he's an introvert and it's not his favorite place (hence why we are going at low times). He'd rather cruise. I have a room booked on the DCL 5 night cruises out of San Diego in Oct 2015 and we could tack on some days either before or after at DL without DH, but I'm not sure if I want to do 3 young kids at DL by myself (although I just took them camping by myself, so there's that).
Also, if we did the Oct. cruise, we wouldn't be able to make it back for Christmas at DL. Alternatively, we could hit up Disney at Christmas time if we didn't go on the cruise in Oct.
SO.
Would you
A: get APs and try to fit in more Disney trips, especially given this is the 60th anniversary year
B: do DL in Feb and then do Legoland in May, DCL cruise in Oct. (we could also go to FL and do a Christmas cruise if we didn't do APs. My family is there).
We live in Idaho, so DL is closer, and there is a very small chance DH may be able to work remotely and therefore take more time off, if that matters.
