Ack! Animator's Palate knife on eBay!!!

Add me to the list of those hoping to buy something from the ship like the butter knife mentioned etc. One of my favorite souvenirs is one that I can use on a nearly daily basis to remind me of my trip.

I hope DCL can come up with something to decrease the amount of thievery and in doing so are able to keep those unique items on their ships.

A CM can not sale anything that they have purchased using thier discount or from Co. D which is the CM shop. What can Disney do? They can and do terminate your employment if you are caught selling items that you have purchased as you agree not to sell them. There is a time frame and I am not sure exactly what it is but it is something like 5 years. I have a friend who works in security for the DLR and she spends her days watching Ebay and Craigslist watching for CMs who sale things including thier sign-ins!

Of course... Co. D does allow the CM to bring in family and friends so there is that possibility but to be honest - it sounds as though this person "shopped" onboard

So on saturday I sent the link to DCL and got a response yesterday saying that they would forward the link to all sorts of managerial staff. So they are on the case!

Sad! I guess there is now a new job for the asst. servers. As he/she collects our glasss and bread plates; they will now have to count our forks, knives and spoons. Then charge the guest!

I found out the other day that the Dream has already "lost" HALF of those butter knives.

Well I do know for a fact that any CM who sells something that they bought at the Company D store will be terminated.
The practice of letting family and friends shop in these stores has been stopped in Florida so I doubt that this knife came from that shop!
I too can not stand to see the "souveniers" for sale on E-Bay that have obviously made their way to the auction by way of sticking fingers.
I hope the seller pulls the item and rethinks putting any other items for sale if they may not have been purchased at the going rate!

Who can afford the price tag of a cruise yet have no appreciation for nice things? It would never in a million years occur to me on a vacation to go thieving and RIPPING THINGS OFF THE WALLS. Maybe its both a few bad employees and guests... so sad!

Our server told us that he was thankful that none of his guests took the knives. Somehow they were keeping tabs on them.

that's just horrid!! I know my daughter is looking forward to the butter knives at AP, lol I have quite a few pictures of her buttering her bread on the Wonder she's a bit addicted to bread and butter...
