Acer laptop

Just bought one. I'm not very laptop savvy. Do you have one? If so how do you like it? The guy helping us at the store said that what is in it matters more than what type of computer name it is. Just wondering if I have made a mistake and should have gone with a different model or if what he said is true. It seemed like a great deal to me. It has an AMD Turion 64x2 processor, 120GB, 14" screen, and will burn both DVD's and CD's. I hope it will serve me well.
What do you think of Acer computers?

We just bought one last month. We like it fine so far...........just use it for internet access for both our jobs.........and the DIS of course...........

I have had mine since March.. I love it. Except the battery life could be longer. Other then that. I would buy another one..
Before I bought this one, i have ibm and a dell. it was so - so.

dws is an acer, has greta battery life, unless you are burning dvds or watching them, excellent service so far, great wireless reciever, we get service a lot farther than we should from the base unit, and has worked wonderfully.

I have one, and its fine so far. I have had several laptops and quite frankly, I have learned to go for the bargain. I dont use it for work, just to use at home for email. internet surfing, and shopping and banking. I dont expect it to last forever, and I have noticed laptops have only lasted me around 2 years , before something too expensive to fix would fail. So at under 500$ I would go for this little laptop every time.
