Ace, Me, & the Guy with CP *An update on Bill Pg. 70*

Tracey

Sorry I've been gone but now I am back!

Sounds like your day at MGM was great! But dinner at Boma , not so much? Was it the food or just the fact that they weren't very accomodating to Bill?

You maintained your composure much better than I would have with the bus driver! I probably would have called him out and made him feel as small as he was .

I'm glad you had a good breakfast with Susan. Bill gets his picture with all the hot chicks doesn't he?!

Can't wait for more!

Lynn

Hi Lynn!! I understand real life gets in the way of DIS life and you have to keep Sharon in line on your own trippie :lmao:!! I think Boma was just too stressful. The crowds were huge:crowded:, the pathways were narrow, and it was way too loud.

I wanted to say things to the bus driver, but I know Bill wouldn't have wanted me to make a scene. Bill adores Susan , I think we will be going back to her breakfast in November.

You are such a silly goose for even thinking that!!!! Listen, just because a few yawns slipped out toward the end of the night doesn't mean I was bored, just sleepy! Of course I liked you (and Bill) very much... and I'm sorry we weren't able to spend even more time together.

I'm all caught up on your report now... and I'm really hoping Bill's ankle is feeling somewhat better. :sad1: I'm so sorry you will miss the June visit; I know how much Bill would enjoy Star Wars Weekend. But, it does sound like you've made the right decision.

   's to you both and I'll "talk" to you soon!

Kathy

Kathy !!! I am so glad you are back on the boards, as you know I am a worry wart and I was very concerned. Bill's ankle pain comes and goes lately. We have a routine down now where I stretch it and massage it a couple of times a day. I hope you have a great Disney Trip and I can't wait to read more on your TR when you have time to update!!

That bus driver does not deserve the privilege of working at WDW.
Susan seems like such a nice person. Cool you got to meet her.:thumbsup2

Hi Shmu, I agree with you. I don't know if they did anything in response to my email to them, I got an "I'm sorry this happened to you", but I have no clue if anything else happened to him:confused3.

I have steam coming out of my ears just thinking about that lousy bus driver! Why would someone like that want to work at WDW? :headache: So sorry the big jerk upset you!

Glad you enjoyed your breakfast with Susan Lucci again. Love the big smile on Bill's face in the photos with her.

I got to see Erika Slezak too! I was just blown away by how beautiful she is in person. My friend kept laughing at me because I talked about her more than I did about meeting Thorsten Kaye. :lmao: I remember watching her when I was just a kid and now she looks younger than I do. :confused3

Hi Ricky's Girl!! Thank you for being so sweet. I am still mad about it to this day :rotfl:. I love how happy Bill looks in those pictures.

Erika Sleazak does look great in person. I swear all the makeup they put on them for HD now makes them look older. I think all the stars looked better in person.

I love that WDW has Super Soap Weekend, but I do NOT like how they have people wait

in line for hours at a time during these events. We decided to go over to the Writer’s Stop were Kassie DePaiva would be later in the day and see what was going on. Guess what?? Another wristband, we got #81, the lady said Bill and I only needed one. I made sure to remember her name if we had trouble later on. They were only handing out 90 wristbands. Lisa and Virginia (our tablemates from the breakfast) showed up, I told them about the wristbands and I think they were the last people to get them. The Writer’s Stop has pastries, cookies, and drinks. Bill wasn’t into the fruit plate at Susan’s breakfast, so I got him a cookie and a soda. We just camped out there.

The news media showed up and took pictures

of us all waiting to meet Kassie. Bill and I had a picture on an Orlando news website.

We were right by the only accessible door. They asked us to line up in front of some stairs about noon, she wasn’t even supposed to be there until 1:30pm:confused3. People that got wristbands with lower numbers were arguing that they should be first. Disney employees said they were only numbered to show how many wristbands were given out. We were about 10th in line. She showed up at 1pm. As they were leading us back to the accessible door Kassie came out to thank everyone for coming.

We got inside the tiny store and I bought her CD. We watched how sweet she was with everyone. It was our turn, someone took our camera and we went up to talk to her. Bill had on an Indiana University fleece shirt. She said she had gone there, but she knew she was older than him. She said she went in 1981-82. She talked to him not at him which made me so happy :) . She asked our names to personalize the CD and asked us “how long have y’all been together”. See she knows I am not his Mom :lmao: .

Kassie talks so southern when she isn’t on OLTL. She took a picture with us and then told Bill goodbye, she then put her hand on my shoulder to stop me. She grabbed me and hugged me then she whispered in my ear “you are good woman, such a good woman for being with him”. This really touched me because I know she has a son with a disability. I had tears in my eyes

as we were leaving the store. I told Bill what she said. He thought she was wonderful. He said she was one of the highlights of the trip.

We heard later that she signed all the people with the wristbands, had to go do an interview, and came back and signed for every person that was in the standby line as well.

We did a couple of things, and then headed for our ADR at 50’s Prime Time Café. We were really looking forward to this. The hostess told us to follow her and took us to the back of the restaurant, around to the right, back up and finally to table. Then we met our server, I don’t remember her name, but she was sweet and funny.

I ordered a Dad’s Electric Lemonade, per advice from KathyRN. I can’t remember what Bill ordered and neither does he.

I got the Fried Herb Cheese and forgot to take a picture of it  . I really liked it :thumbsup2. Bill didn’t want an appetizer. He ordered the meatloaf (I cut it up before I took the picture sorry) and I got Grilled chicken:

He ordered The Apple Cobbler Ala Mode and I got the Brownie Sundae:

The server didn’t even yell at me for not eating my entire sundae, she said she understood. I asked her how to get out of the restaurant, she looked at me funny. I told her how the hostess had taken us through the back of the restaurant. She laughed and said “just go that way”. We were so close to the front it was ridiculous :sad2:. I still have no idea why the hostess took us that route to the table.

After dinner we headed on over to Fantasmic. We had the greatest CM right next to the wheelchair section in the middle of the theater. She was cracking us up. She was telling people to keep moving to the seating that was open and then she got to talking about the Hades section. “There is seating opening in Hades, keep moving toward Hades, you can go sit in Hades now”. Bill and I were giggling so much
laughingcrying.gif
. She said to us “isn’t this fun, I am sending people to Hades”. We were all laughing.

We hadn’t seen Fantasmic since Feb. 2006. It was wonderful, we LOVE it. Disney sure does know how to do those big productions
outstanding.gif
. I don’t have any pictures because I decided to just take it in, watch it, and enjoy myself. After the show was over, we headed for the busses - it was time to get back to Pop and try to turn in early. We had two long days ahead of us.

Next installment… Do we get near any of the soap stars we want to see? Also, see if I restrain myself from hitting someone.

Wow!! What a great day! I made a post earlier, but I can't find it now. Maybe I hit preview instead of submit. Anyway, I know who Kassi DePaiva is! I don't watch soaps-I avoid doing anything that I know I'll get hooked on b/c of my obsessive compulsive nature. :sad2:

But I got a crochet magazine from the library once and she was on the cover. I read the article and she talked all about her son. At that time, he had a cochlear implant. It was an older magazine so I don't know how he's doing now. She made very cute hats and I think she sold them for charity. I'd have to go dig to find that magazine and I'm not sure I even have it anymore, but that stuck with me because she's a celeb with a kiddo with special needs.

We haven't seen Fantasmic since 1999! That's one of the things we want to do this fall-we'll have to do it on our night out. Trey would never tolerate that unless he has a major change before then!

Great installment-can't wait to read more!! popcorn::

Tracy, you always write such wonderful installments. The comment made from the soap star, was just so touching. I'm glad you included that. People like her make up for the rest of the idiots aka bus driver!
Prime Time, looked wonderful. So glad you got to catch Fantasmic. I think we are going to skip DHS, next trip, which makes me kinda sad.

Anyway, loved it! Thanks for including the sweet things too!

Love this update Tracy! The pic of you and Bill that was on the news is great as is the one with you two and Kassie. How sweet of her to say what she did to you - I'm sure that made your day even better!

We love Fantasmic too - glad you were able to see and enjoy it!

Kassie sells those Happy Hats on her website, they are so cute!! Her son still has the implant and is thriving. JQ was even on All My Children when they had a storyline about one of the kids going deaf.

I understand about Fantasmic being too much for Trey, maybe someday. Thanks for continuing to read Linnie .

Hi Kimmy!! I felt so embarrassed having tears when Kassie said that. I kept telling myself "just get out of the store before you start bawling". I made it, but barely!

Prime Time will be a must do every trip now for us, we had a ball there. Thank you for reading our TR. I love your signature, it is too cute.

Hi Michelle!! Kassie was so pretty in person and she is so thin. Her saying that really did make my day and made the bus driver's attitude a distant memory. Thank you for still reading this very long report, I am really enjoying your latest TR!!

Great update!!! :thumbsup2

You guys were smiling so big that if you didn't have ears, you would have been smiling in circles!

another fabulous update Tracey. Some great shots of both of you. Love the one the media took. I'm not familiar with the soap stars, but what a lovely thing she said to you. Glad it made you feel warm and fuzzy.

Sounds like fun-that's a sweet picture of you two as a couple.

Wow - that sounds like a fun day! Kassie was so wonderful! And Fantasmic was too - we last saw it in March 06 - we'll be going again in April - my mom has never seen it - can't wait! Can't wait for the next update either!
