Accomodations near Lorton, VA when riding Auto Train

Can any of you tell me a good place to stay within about 20-30 miles of Lorton, VA for our upcoming trip on the Auto Train? Any tips to avoid the DC traffic on our way there too?

I'm really worried about getting stuck in traffic and missing the train, so we're leaving the night before so we can spend the night and be right there.

Woodbridge Va is about 20 minutes and has some good hotels right off RT95. Also you can enjoy the Potomac Mills stores.

yep - there is a slew of places around Potomac Mill

motels, and places to eat ... and 'entertainment' and you are only a few miles away.

I'm on AT in June and that's my plan.....

I found a Comfort Inn right in Lorton, but it's pretty expensive and got horrendous reviews on Tripadvisor.
