Hi,

I have a trip planned to WDW in January - it was going to be two of us and we were planning on staying at PO.
However - a good friend is thinking about coming with us on this trip - and I'm not sure what to do about accomodation.

As this is their first trip to WDW I would really like them to stay on site, it would also give us the freedom to have space away from each other as transportation is taken care of.....but budget is an issue. We can't share a room at PO - we're not that close!!- and they can't afford a room on their own.

Are the wilderness lodge log cabins still available through Virgin? Does anyone have any experience of them?? Has anyone got any idea how much a villa at Old key West would be??

I really wanted to get the virgin package as we like the flexibility of the Unlimited Magic passes and I can't work out a way that we could get UMPs for the same price booking separately. We fancy UMPs as Disney Quest and BB are a big part of our plans.

Am I missing anything obvious? We were banking on around £1000 pp for a 9 night stay.

Any advice would be great,

Thanks,

Not sure if this will help, but it may allow you to book something that does not include the UMPs.

We had the Fun in the Sun tickets last year, which are 30 days unlimited access to Disney (including DQ and the water parks etc).

Adults tickets are $311 each.

I got ours from Paramount travel. You have to e-mail them to request them as they are not on their web site.

rosa@pit-email.com is who I dealt with.

This would give you the flexibility to book flights/accom seperately if you needed to, and give you unlimited access to WDW for the duration of your trip.

Booking rooms directly with Disney, you would pay around $150 a night for PO, $250 for WL Cabins, $280 for a studio at OKW and $420 for a one-bed villa. These are all rack rates (Value Season) and don't include passes, but there are several ways to get discounts. Probably the best would be for one of you to buy an Annual Pass (or a Premium AP to include DQ and the water parks) - you could then expect to get up to 45% off these rates. The discounts for January haven't been released yet, though.

Obviously you would then have to buy 2 more passes and flights, but I reckon you could do it for around £1000pp.

Thanks for the advice - I am going to get a stubby pencil out this weekend and make a table of all of the options and work out the best prices.
I hadn't considered getting a PAP- it could work out to be a good option.

We'll get there somehow!!

Thanks again,
