We have booked our accommodation for next year's trip. :yay:

We're returning to SSR for 12 nights following our cruise. All we need to book now are flights () and one night somewhere before the cruise. It will be a 17-night trip, our longest yet. :goodvibes

Excited! :dance3:

Great news Lauren, sound like its going to be a fantastic trip.:goodvibes

Thanks Wayne. :thumbsup2

I'm struggling to find prices for that one night before the cruise. We're looking to book an onsite hotel so we can take advantage of ME. Has anyone got any website suggestions please? :flower3:

I think expedia can often be good for one night stays but that'll be closer to the time, same for WDW US site.

Could you stay at the airport for the night and get the bus from there in the morning then be one of the first aboard ship?

Yeah, they're currently showing no availability on Expedia so I might have to check again nearer the time.

I considered this but I just know I'd be in the hotel thinking it was a waste and that I'd rather be at Downtown Disney or something! :rotfl:

Are you flying direct or indirect? as above consider the airport if indirect on a late arrival, if direct, mid afternoon arrival you will probably want to goto a resort, Disney.co.uk have the values at £68/night less 3% quidco, next cheapest is OKW/SSR at £117, seems a lot for somewhere to get your head down for the night.

Just seen slightly cheaper on Thomson.co.uk, some resorts same price £68 but 5% Quidco.

Possibly cheaper if you wait but not going to be a massive saving on 1 night.

Thanks Wayne. We will probably end up flying direct so we'll get there either mid/late afternoon. I looked on Disney.co.uk a few weeks ago but it said there was no availability. :confused3 I'll try again and I'll also look at Thomson.co.uk. I was considering booking somewhere nice like Wildnerness Lodge but I'm not sure really. It might make more sense to go for a value.

Congratulations your trip sounds awesome! I have not been able to cancel my Dream cruise yet, going to hang on to see if we can manage two holidays next year!

I doubt Expedia will show any availablity until the New Year as for some reason Disney hotels seem to only show during the same calender year if that makes sense? I would hang on until after Christmas Expedia etc are bound to have sales on. I booked the Yacht Club CL earlier this year and it was much cheaper than Disney UK and had 12% Quidco off on top :thumbsup2 Ended up cancelling it though as Disney USA brought out a 45% discount :cutie:

When we arrived in August we had 1st night to book before our stay at Universal, considered splashing out on a deluxe but after getting luggage, car, driving to hotel, checking in and getting ready to go anywhere we decided we would just want bed, then next morning we went to Celebration so had to check out early. decided to stay at Country Inn & suites at £30 incl breakfast, deluxe would have been a complete waste.
Depends on arrival time, we were scheduled to land at 6:30pm but it was 7:30pm.
When going on cruise we leave about 9:30am so you don't get much time to appreciate a resort that morning.
Even though I don't like values they seem the best option to take advantage of ME.

POP might be your best bet if you are thinking of DTD the one evening you are there. It isn't out on a limb like the other values (takes easily 20 minutes plus waiting time on the Disney bus from the All Stars to DTD).

How exciting that you are completely booked now! :cool1:

Sorry no advice but how exciting I am so jealous I really miss planning a WDW holiday :D I know if it was for just 1 night I would be tempted to book a deluxe just to say I stayed there lol

congrats!!!!
it's a great feeling when the hotel is finally booked!!

as for length - it can never be too long in my opinion...we once did 28 days - universal/WDW/DCLcruise/WDW .....people were in shock....28 days?????!!!!
they thought we were nuts....but it was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and still not too long....there is no too long as far as i'm concerned!!

anyway - well done on the hotel!!!!

Thanks Gemma. I remember when you got that fab deal on the YC. I'll hang fire for now. ;)

Yes, a value does seem like the best option at the moment. I know you're not a fan but I will always hold Pop dear to my heart as it's where I stayed on my first trip. On our last trip Andrew and I went there to get some tie-dye cheesecake and he wasn't particularly impressed (by the resort, not the cheesecake!). It was quite sentimental for me. :goodvibes

Yeah, Pop is ideal location-wise.

Well, we still have the flights to book. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

Thanks Leanne. Decisions, decisions... my head is saying value but my heart is saying deluxe!

congrats!!!!

Thanks! I totally agree. I've built my way up from 14 nights, to 15 and now to 17. I'm sure I'll eventually be taking 28 day trips too. :rotfl:
