Accomadations in Naples and Ft. Meyers?

How are the beaches in the Naples/Ft Meyers area? What are good places to stay on the beach? How is the weather in April? THanks

I love the beaches on the Southwest side. I haven't stayed in Ft. Meyers but have stayed in Naples. I used the Vanderbilt Inn and it was nice. It is a decent motel right on the beach. The only thing I didn't like to much is that it uses their front lot for beach parking. The lot for guests is seperate and gated but sometimes waiting in line to get into the lot was annoying.

We always stay in Ft. Myers Beach - in fact after our 3 days at Universal Palm Sunday Weekend, we are headed to FMB. The beaches are fabulous and depending on whether you want lots of things to do or stay at the quiter end of the island depends on where to stay. We always stay at the southern end and there is a Holiday Inn where we've stayed for the last couple of years, the Outrigger just down from the Holiday Inn. There is a Publix and the Villa Santini Plaza close to these locations.
