Accessible seats at Shows??

I'll be using an ECV on this trip and was wondering if there is a list somewhere where they show you the seats that are handicap accessible? For example; where are the handicap seating for Fantasmic, at the bottom front or at the top, in the back? Is there empty spots to pull the ECV or do you have to transfer to a seat? Can someone point in the direction to be able to look this up? TIA

For most shows, including Fantasmic, the EVC and Wheelchair accessible areas are in the back rows. You will not have to transfer to a regular seat, and at least one member of your party can stay with you. Depending upon the theater, the rest of your party may be able to it with you, or will sit in a row in front of you. Some locations do have ECV and HC areas in the front row, as well, but most are in the back of the theater.

For Fantasmic, as you approach the theaterm stay to the far right hand side of the walkway, and a CM will show you to the seating area as you enter the amphitheater.

I just came back and all the shows let us stay with my dad who used a scooter . They got us in fast and if we had a qustion as were to sit they helped. The buses from the hotel to the parks were the way to go they got us on frist and then after the last person got off the get him off. Most shows and rides have a diffrent way in for people in need.

So Fantasmic does NOT have a front row seating for handicap? Is there a place to leave the ECV so I can sit with the family, they want to sit up front so the kids can get a good look at the boat with the characters, that's all they have been talking about. They missed it last time we went with them because of hurricanes (we were there for Frances in 2004). They are 8 and 11 and want to sit up front.

The first rows are also subject to getting wet and feeling a lot of heat from the fire effects.

There may be a few HC accessible seats in the very front of the theater. We've always felt that the view was better as we could take in the "big picture" rather than sitting so close.

There are a few (very few) accessible spots in the very front of the amphitheater for Fantasmic, but the fill up fast and since there are only a few of them, chances of getting one is not that good unless you are very early. I don't know if they allow ECVs in those seats or not because of the water issue that Chuck mentioned. I also don't know if they would allow you to drive the ECV down, transfer to a seat and then park the ECV at the back of the theater.

We have sat in the front row before (DH and I, not with DD who uses a wheelchair). The screens they show the movies on during the show are made of water mist. This is fine if the wind is blowing away from you. But, if it is blowing toward you, sitting there can be like sitting in a fine mist shower. You do get pretty wet (we saw CMs selling beach towels before the show started and wondered why; after it began, we wished we had some).

The wheelchair/ECV seats are the entire back row of the amphitheater. The very back row is mostly empty spaces where people can park wheelchairs or ECVs, intersperced with individual benches for a companion to sit. There is room for one companion to sit next to the wheelchair/ECV and the rest of your party will sit in the 2-3 rows in front of the back row. So, you are in a group close to the person with the wheelchair or ECV.

In general, for the movie or audioanimatronic shows, all the wheelchair seating is in the back row.
For live action shows, most have a limited number of seats in the front row and more seats in the back. Little Mermaid is an exception - all the wheelchair/ECV seats are in the back. Festival of the Lion King is also an exception - the majority of the seating is stadium style and the wheelchair/ECV seating is on the floor in the front.

One more where the wheelchair seating is in the front is at Country Bear Jamboree. My tiop for anyone interested is that if you ARE able to leave your wheelchair or ECV outside and walk in to the theater, do it. The reason? Swingin' Teddi Bara comes down right over your head, so you don't get to see much of her (well, you get to see her, but not necessarily from the most complimentary angle, if you get my drift ) as if you go back a row or two.
