Accessibility at Universal

I am traveling to CA this August to spend some time with my sister and her husband. My sister uses a scooter to get around. Can only walk with assistance. Cannot do stairs or anything that requires getting up into something or down into something that she would then have to get up out of to exit. We plan to do Disneyland a day or two. But we have never attempted Universal. I am wondering how accessible it is to people in scooters.

I've been reading mixed things. All attractions are accessible in some way shape or form but the accessible entrances is what I'm reading mixed things about. I'm dreading getting down to the lower level with a wheelchair since it seems like I'm reading about long wait times for the elevator and then the van, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Thanks for the info. Most of the things we would probably be most interested in, it looks like she can stay in her scooter. However, for the Studio tour, she needs a wheelchair, not a scooter. So we may have to rent one at the park.

I am curious how you access the lower level if you use an ECV.

My daughter is a paralyzed manual wheelchair user. We were there in April. They accommodated us for every ride. (We did not go on the Mummy or the House of Horrors.) Usually it took less time than standing in the regular line would have. To transfer from the upper and lower lots, they provide a shuttle. Transferring can take a long time (30 - 45 mins.). The shuttle buses are sparse, and there are lots of strollers and other wheelchair users that use this service. But it is very doable.
