Accessibility at Candlelight Processional

How accessible is the seating at CP? Where is the handicapped seating located? My sister has cerebral palsy and will be in her wheelchair for most of our trip to WDW. She has crutches and can get around on them, but is extremely unsteady and her legs are very inflexible. I know she'd be far more comfortable sitting in her chair for the show, but where will she be seated? At shows like Tarzan and Fantasmic, wheelchair seating is in the last row. We have paid for the CP package, and if we are going to be seated in the last row, we'll just cancel the package and stand in line or stand in the back (not actually inside the pavillion) rather than pay the extra $$ for the pkg. Can anyone explain the wheelchair seating location (and how far ahead of showtime should we be there? 8 total in party).

there are a few sections of handicapped seating for the Candlelight Processional. I have been to the american Garden Theater many times & have been seated in the back row, in the middle section & along the sides. Please do not let seating take away your enjoyment of the Candlelight Processional. It is a beautiful presentation of the birth of Christ. I have not done a CP package, so I don't know how soon you should get in line.

I went to two Tarzan Rock shows last week. first time I sat (in the ecv) in the middle section & the next time down in the very front row. I have also seen this show from the back. I've enjoyed the show from all three spots.

leebee when are you going? But I really think all of the seating is good. We were there last Sat and I was very dissappointed, we did not book a package and it seemed to me that Disney has increased the # of seat saved for packages. The lines were huge. At the 6:45 show people were already in line for the 8:15 show. My DD cannot wait on line for 2 hours so we had to pass. Also there was a huge crowed watching for out side the theater

All the Candlelight Packages have the same access to the theatre. There is no difference. There is handicapped seating at the back of the front section and at the back of the back section. You will probably be seated on the left side as these are filled first unless there is a special need to be on the right such as also needing interpreting. IF so please contact Disney to make them aware of this as the seating can fill up and then you can't see the interpreters well.

We just got back from WDW on Sunday. We did the Candlelight Processional on Nov. 30 with my Mother in a wheelchair. We had the ADR package for the 6:45 show and got in line about 6pm. You stay in the regular line with both wheelchairs and ECVs. When the Theatre opened we were told to look for someone who would be assisting wheelchair guests. A CM led us to a handicap section at the back of the first section of seats. We were right in the middle and had great seats! The first row of the 2nd second was also handicapped seating. My Mom stayed in her chair. While waiting in line, another guest explained that sitting near the back of the first section or the front of the second section may be the best seats for full view, sound, etc. And yes, it doesn't matter what "tier" you purchase for what seat you get. There is nothing on your tag that indicates what tier restaurant you are eating in. One tip...this year we saw the show first and then ate afterwords. Much more relaxing as I wasn't checking my watch every three minutes!

For the last 12 years that we have gone we have always been toward the middle just behind the VIP area. It is only about 6 or 7 rows back from the stage. It never really mattered what showtime we went to it was always the same. But you do need to wait in line about 45 minutes or so. Don;t come at the last minute and expect to be up front ,you won't . you will be at the back if you do that.
And which teir you buy has no difference on where you sit only what time you show up. ug:

BUMP!!! I'm bumping this up to see if anyone has any new information.

Would you recommend that I get a dinner package??? I've never done this before. Also how many people can sit with you in the handicapped area. We are a party of five.

A dinner package definitely helped us in December. There were 4 in our party and we did get to sit up front. Karen

I would also recommend the package, esp. if you're going to dine at a TS restaurant anyway. Unless it's changed the DDP can be used for the CP package also if you're planning to purchase it or have included it already with your reservations at WDW. There is seating up front with benches next to the empty spaces reserved for guests in w/c's. I think the maximum that could sit on one bench would be four guests so you might have to split up a bit with a larger party. Since there is no separate line for guests in w/c's if you don't have a package you might end up in the back or not getting a place at all and as was mentioned you'll wait a really long time in line.---Kathy

Thanks alizesmom and dclfun!! I think I will get the package. I guess until my kids get older DH and I won't ever sit together at a Disney show!! He usually takes 2 and I get 1 with me.
