Access to two villas with one MagicBand?

We're planning an extended family trip for next year, staying in an AKV GV and studio (renting points). One couple will be using the studio for sleeping/bathing (as they want a real bed rather than a foldout), but otherwise hanging out in the GV. Is it possible for them to have key access to both the studio and the GV? Even including the couple staying in the studio, we would be within the occupancy limit for the GV, so that shouldn't be an issue. There may be times when the studio couple are the only people in the GV (older couple, may bow out of some park outings), and I'd like to give them both access without having to work out some kind of MagicBand-sharing situation. TIA!

MagicBands will only open one room.

You can explain the situation at the front desk and see if they will give you RFID KTTW Cards that can be used to open the GV.

Not sure if this would work or not, but could you essentially add an extra name to the reservation like a nickname for example that way you have an extra magic band for the room. Then the couple would have Magic bands for their room as well as one for the Gv

We have had a similar situation come up when traveling with family. Most all of us in our family have several magic bands each by now. If you are in the GV and have more than one magic band you could bring an extra one or two with you and let the studio party use them for access only to the GV. In theory, all active magic bands you have should work as a door key. Just make sure the magic band you give them is active and they know it is to be used for room access only. (It would be better if it is a different color than the one they are using for the studio). I would also make sure at the front desk that it is working. I often use more than one magic band for the same trip to color coordinate with my outfit and the front desk has no problem making sure they all are working. Just remember that if you have a credit card linked to the magic band that they can use it for purchases, too. :-)

If they will be together all the time, you could put one person's name on the GV to get the GV magicband, and put the other person's name on the studio. This way one MB will open the GV and the other person's band will open the studio. They could be different colors and the inside name on the bands can be written as Studio and GV.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Similar to several ideas above, would it also be possible to put both their names on both the GV and the Studio? They would end up with two MagicBands each, but I'm sure they could figure out some way of keeping them straight (maybe we'll make some nifty covers before we arrive). Does MS care if people are booked to stay in two rooms at the same time? This will be my first trip with MagicBands and only my second renting DVC points, so I've got a lot to learn! :)

Why not use their middle and last names on the GV reservation and first and last name on the studio. Then they would have All the bands they need. Just add the park tickets to one set of bands for Fp+ and park entry

Years ago before magic bands we were split between 2 villas when we checked asked for some extra keys to the larger room where we would be cooking and eating. They gave them us no problem we were just reminded only so many people could sleep in each villa

I'd ask for extra KTTW plastic cards for the room(s) you want them and explain why.
