I believe I have read that you can access it all day on both check in and check out days, so if you have a really early flight on check in or late flight on check out, you can sit and relax. But what if you are not leaving Disney and instead are moving to a new room or resort? Are you restricted access once your next room becomes activated?

Ex. We have the club level for thurs night. and a regular 1br for Friday night. Can I still access the lounge all day friday even though I am now checked into another room? Do the bands recognize this? Should I not do an online check in (so my room cant be ready early)?

I have been piece mealing a vacation together for early Oct and have been waiting a couple weeks for this one day to become available ANYWHERE in disney. The club showed up today so I took it. I personally would prefer a regular 1br but right now I am taking what I can get. I have 2 days following in a 1br savanna so it really worked out fine to be able to have 3 days in the same place. but if I am paying the extra for the club, I would like to be able to utilize it as much as possible. And I am also thinking we may not want to stay at the pool all afternoon while waiting for a room so having the lounge if our room is not available til late would be nice. We are not doing parks this time - only the halloween party one night.

Once your key doesn't allow you access, you're done.

I can tell you what I have done. One year I booked BLT for the 29th of December. Since DIsney gives you the check out day privileges to your resort for the check out day, I asked DVC about going to BLT to TTOTWL on the 30th even though my family was checking into BCV. They sent me an email saying it would be possible. There was no problem, even though we were checked out of BLT.

I am trying to determine when exactly that would be. You shouldn't be able to get into your room after 11am morning of checkout so theoretically, your band no longer has access but I know that you are allowed to use the lounge all that day of checkout if you don't have another reservation on property. Just don't know if a new reservation for that day would mess with it. I wonder if I keep the reservations separate, on different magic bands, I would be able to circumvent this

I have multiple times been in a Studio CL room, transferred to a regular Studio, and maintained access to CL lounge all day until mid-night. I have gone down at 7 am to my non-CL reservation and checked in. We moved all our stuff over to the new room right after breakfast and still did the afternoon snacks, evening offerings, and late night desserts and drinks.
Just use two separate MBs, one for each reservation. Once you check into the non-CL room; keep the CL room MB in your pocket except when you need it on the elevator to get to the CL lounge.

Thanks! This is the experience I was looking for. So definitely 2 separate magic bands, which is what I was thinking.

All MBs can be used interchangeably, so the only way two separate MBs would work is if they are on two separate MDEs. If they weren't on separate MDEs and yet that worked, it means that using just one would have worked.

As far as I know, you're allowed access that day. Therefore, you're allowed access that day.

I took the other post to mean that they kept the reservations separate (not linked to the same MDE) and hence had separate MB. Correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, you can use one MB but just for me I like to use different ones that way I am assured in my own mind of the MB being used are working correctly.
