Access to BLT

Hi...we are scouting some locations for our engagement pictures at Disney in February. My question is - I thought I had read that access was limited at BLT (to use the elevators and the lounge on the top floor). Can anyone access the lobby and the grounds (the bamboo trees and fountain in particular)? Or do you have to be staying there as well?

you have to be staying there.

that part is also only key entry. that say would go for one night a standard view studio won't cost you alot of points.

As far as physical access, you can get there by walking without any gates. Just walk around the back by the pool and the walkway will lead you right to where you are talking about.

I don't think anyone will stop you from taking pictures, we were just there last week and it was dead, the weather is perfect right now and there was just one person in the lobby mostly making DVC calls to customers. Could they stop you? Maybe. Would they, probably not. Could you get away with setting up a big photo shoot, no. If you are discreet and timely you can do it.

BTW there is another area where they show movies at night outside that has another great view.
