First, I just want to say that I discovered this board less than a year ago and I would like to thank everyone for their thoughtful and informative responses to the many questions on here. Your input made our first cruise ever an amazing experience and it wouldn't have been so terrific if I hadn't had the wealth of knowledge to comb through here. Thank you!

I have a question about concierge wheelchair accessible rooms. We sailed concierge this last month on the Wonder and wanted to rebook for this coming December but our 2 preferred sail dates are sold out in concierge. I know they'll likely become available as people move schedules over the coming months but I was also wondering when Disney opens up the accessible rooms for non-accessible travelers? I've checked and there are plenty of concierge accessible rooms available for our target dates. I know Disney does eventually let them go because we were offered one when I booked our cruise last year.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I'm confused. You state:
... our 2 preferred sail dates are sold out in concierge ...

And then go on to say:
... I've checked and there are plenty of concierge accessible rooms available for our target dates...

So... do you need an accessible concierge stateroom, and none are available for your preferred dates? Or are you having trouble reserving one? If you are having trouble booking one via the online system, I suggest you call DCL directly. To my knowledge, accessible rooms should be available for booking online, though you have to check the box that you need an accessible stateroom. They may hold a couple back, but I thought they are required to have them available online as long as non-accessible can be booked online. If none are available, it's possible they are already booked. To my knowledge they don't necessarily "open them up" but will place guests in an open accessible stateroom when making stateroom assignments simply to fill rooms. Again, I suggest you contact DCL directly if you are having trouble booking.

Enjoy your cruise!

No, we don't require an accessible room. There are currently concierge accessible rooms unoccupied available ONLY to those in need for the dates we would like. Disney does make those available to the general public eventually but I don't know when that would be- that's my question. You can see the wheelchair accessible rooms on DCL website that are available if you change your party details to require one.

They usually do not release them until all other concierge staterooms are booked.
